Kalgoorlie
Kalgoorlie, known as Kalgoorlie-Boulder, is a town in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, and is located 595 kilometres east-northeast of Perth at the end of the Great Eastern Highway. The town was founded in 1893 during the Yilgarn-Goldfields gold rush, and is located close to the so-called "Golden Mile". As at the 2006 census, it had a population of 28,250, making it the largest urban centre in the Goldfields-Esperance region and the fifth-largest in Western Australia.
Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison
Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison is an Australian prison located in Boulder, Western Australia, Australia. It replaced the Kalgoorlie Regional Prison in December 1980. The old prison was retained as an annexe to the new prison for three years to hold maximum and medium-security prisoners on a short-term basis. It was closed down permanently with the opening of a maximum-security remand block at the new prison in 1983.

Western Australian School of Mines
The Western Australian School of Mines (WASM) was founded in 1902 as a tertiary school specialising in subjects directly related to the Western Australian mining industry. Originally located in Coolgardie, WASM later move to Kalgoorlie and continued to be primarily funded from independent sources. In 1969 the Department of Mines transferred management of WASM to Western Australian Institute of Technology which later became Curtin University.
Boulder, Western Australia
Boulder was a town in the Western Australian goldfields 595 kilometres east of Perth and bordering onto the town of Kalgoorlie in the Eastern Goldfields region. Until 1989 it was part of its own municipality. In 1989 the towns of Kalgoorlie and Boulder were merged to form the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. After the merger Boulder officially became a suburb of Kalgoorlie. At the 2006 census, Boulder had a population of 5,178.

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is a local government area in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, about 550 kilometres east of the state capital, Perth. The City covers an area of 95,575 square kilometres, and its seat of government is the town of Kalgoorlie; all but 244 of the city's population live either in Kalgoorlie or in Boulder. In terms of area, Kalgoorlie-Boulder is the largest city in Australia, and the third-largest city in the world, with a total area of 95,575 km.

John Paul College is a Catholic co-educational high school catering to over 500 students from Years 8 - 12 in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. It commenced in 1984, as a result of an amalgamation of Christian Brothers' College and Prendiville College. Its motto "Justice, Peace, Charity" includes the three beginning letters of the school's name: J, P and C.
Neils Hansen Stadium
The Neils Hansen Basketball Stadium is located in the West Australian regional city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The stadium is owned and administered by the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Basketball Association. From March through to August each year, it is the home of the Goldfields Giants of the State Basketball League of Western Australia (SBL) and it has a maximum capacity of around 1200 for SBL games.
ABC Goldfields-Esperance
ABC Goldfields-Esperance is an ABC Local Radio station based in Kalgoorlie. The station broadcasts to the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, including the towns of Esperance, Coolgardie, Kambalda and Norseman. The station was formally opened by the then State Member for Kalgoorlie, Herbert Henry Styants, on 10 December 1936. The station began broadcasting as 6GF from the first floor of the Post Office building in Hannan Street, Kalgoorlie.

Golden Ridge, Western Australia
Golden Ridge is an abandoned town in Western Australia located 615 kilometres east of Perth just off the Mount Monger Road in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. The town was originally designated as a business area through the mining act and was ironically known as Waterfall. The government gazetted the town-site in 1910 following a request by the local progress committee to make more land available for residential development.
Kurrawang, Western Australia
Kurrawang is an abandoned town in Western Australia between Coolgardie and Kalgoorlie just off Great Eastern Highway in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. The town was first established as a railway station in the early 1900s on the Eastern line to Kalgoorlie. The area was also a junction of the timberlines in the region.
Lakewood, Western Australia
Lakewood is a ghost town in Western Australia, located between Kalgoorlie and Kambalda in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia. Originally the town was known as Lakeside and in 1903 the local progress association lobbied the government for residential lots to be surveyed. The name Lakeside was not considered, as a town in Queensland with the same name already existed.
