University of Queensland
The University of Queensland (UQ) is a public university located in the state of Queensland, Australia. Founded in 1909, it is the oldest and largest university in Queensland and the fifth oldest in Australia. The main campus is located in the suburb of St Lucia, southwest of the Brisbane City Central Business District, with other major campuses in Gatton, Ipswich and Herston with a number of other satellite facilities.
South Bank railway station, Brisbane
South Bank is a railway station in Brisbane, the state capital of Queensland, Australia. It is part of the Queensland Rail City network, located in Zone 1 of the TransLink integrated public transport system. The station will be redeveloped and an office and apartment block will be built over it, in similar fashion to Toowong, Milton, Central and Fortitude Valley stations.
Dutton Park, Queensland
Dutton Park is a suburb of Brisbane, Australia located about 4 km south of the Brisbane CBD. The suburb is predominantly residential, with some light industrial and commercial areas. The name Dutton comes from Charles Boydell Dutton, the Queensland Minister for Lands from 1883 to 1887, who created the recreation reserve in 1884.

Highgate Hill, Queensland
Highgate Hill is a suburb of inner Brisbane, Australia 2 km south of the Brisbane CBD on the Brisbane River. The topography of the suburb is undulating hills no more than 70 metres above sea level. Highgate Hill is a high-density suburb with many apartment buildings, some more than 10 storeys. These apartment blocks are centered along the main road of Dornoch Terrace, a trend that was started in 1960 by the landmark Torbreck building.

Mater Hill Busway Station is close to the Mater Private Hospital – Brisbane and the South Bank Parklands. Eleanor Schonell Bridge
The Eleanor Schonell Bridge, better known as the Green Bridge, is a 390-metre (1,280 ft)-long cable-stayed bridge which crosses the Brisbane River between Dutton Park and the University of Queensland's St Lucia campus. Its deck is 185 metres long, 20 metres wide and about 18 metres above the river's surface.
Schonell Theatre
The Schonell Theatre is a Theatre and Cinema complex at the University of Queensland. It consists of Theatre One: a 420 seat, single auditorium theatre capable of hosting projected cinematic films, musical performances, plays and lectures; Theatre 2, a 175 seat cinema and the Cement Box Theatre. It is situated in the UQU complex at the University of Queensland's St Lucia campus. The theatre was constructed in 1970 and underwent refurbishment in 2005.
Queensland College of Art
The Queensland College of Art (QCA) is a specialist arts and design college located in South Bank, Brisbane, and Southport, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It was founded in 1881 and is the oldest arts institution in Australia. Current enrolment is approximately 1,000 in subjects including fine arts, animation, graphic, interior design and photojournalism. The College is part of Griffith University.
University of Queensland ferry wharf
University of Queensland is a ferry wharf in the suburb of St Lucia used by the CityCat on the Brisbane River. A non-TransLink cross river ferry service formerly ran between UQ and Dutton Park, but was discontinued when the bus, cyclist and pedestrian only Eleanor Schonell Bridge adjacent to the route was completed. In January 2011 the wharf was destroyed during the devastating floods and the rebuilding works were expected to take months.
Queensland Maritime Museum
The Queensland Maritime Museum is located on the southern bank of the Brisbane River just south of the South Bank Parklands and Queensland Cultural Centre precinct of Brisbane, and close to the Goodwill Bridge. The museum was founded in 1971 and contains a two level exhibition building presenting historic sailing ship models together with merchant shipping from early cargo ships to modern container ships, tankers and cruise liners.
St Laurence's College
St Laurence's College (colloquially known as Lauries) is an independent, Roman Catholic school for boys located in South Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was founded by the Christian Brothers in 1915. The school currently has an enrolment of over 1527 students from grades five to twelve. St Laurence's is currently associated with the Associated Independent Colleges and Combined Independent Colleges (CIC) sporting associations.
UQ Lakes busway station
The UQ Lakes Bus Station, at UQ's St Lucia Campus, is serviced by TransLink bus routes. It is located west of College Road and is the new way of accessing UQ by public transport, via the new Eleanor Schonell Bridge. It is in Zone 2 of the TransLink integrated public transport system. UQ Lakes Station is the western terminus of the Eastern Busway. By 2012, about 1.5 million passengers were using the bus stop each year, making it one of the top-5 busiest stops in Brisbane.
HMAS Diamantina (K377)
HMAS Diamantina (K377/F377/A266/GOR266), named for the Diamantina River in Queensland, is a River class frigate that served the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). Constructed in the mid-1940s, Diamantina was active from 1945 until 1946, was placed in reserve, then was recommissioned as a survey ship from 1959 until 1980. Following her second decommissioning, the frigate was preserved at the Queensland Maritime Museum as a museum ship.
InterVarsity Choral Festival (Australia)
The Australian InterVarsity Choral Festival (IVCF) is an annual event in which members of university choirs from all state capitals of Australia and the national capital Canberra meet for two weeks to rehearse, socialise and perform combined concerts. The Festival also serves as the annual conference of the member choirs of AICSA, the Australian Intervarsity Choral Societies Association.
Vision, Touch and Hearing Research Centre
The Vision Touch and Hearing Research Centre (VTHRC, 1988-2007) was the first Commonwealth Special Research Centre to be awarded to the University of Queensland. Located on the St. Lucia campus of the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia, the VTHRC was headed by Prof. Jack Pettigrew FRS, FAAS. The core research conducted at the VTHRC involved the use of sensory systems as models for understanding brain function and neuronal plasticity.

TC Beirne School of Law
The TC Beirne School of Law at the University of Queensland, founded in 1936, is the oldest law school in the Australian state of Queensland, as well as the sixth oldest law school out of 32 in Australia. Its alumni include two Chief Justices of Australia. The school has approximately 2,000 students, the majority of whom are studying the Bachelor of Laws. Other programs offered by TC Beirne include the Master of Laws, Master of Applied Law and Doctor of Philosophy.
Queensland Children's Hospital
The Queensland Children's Hospital (QCH) is a new major children’s hospital under construction in South Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The hospital will combine the Royal Children's Hospital, Herston and the Mater Children's Hospital together into one new facility located next to the existing Mater Children’s Hospital in South Brisbane. The construction of A$1.2 billion QCH is underway and it is due to be completed in 2014.
City of South Brisbane
