Lake Austin
Lake Austin is a water reservoir on the Colorado River in Austin, Texas in the United States. The reservoir was formed in 1939 by the construction of Tom Miller Dam by the Lower Colorado River Authority. Lake Austin is one of the seven Highland Lakes created by the Lower Colorado River Authority, and is used for flood control, electrical power generation, and recreation. Loop 360 spans the lake at the Pennybacker Bridge.

The Austin City Limits (ACL) Music Festival is an annual three-day American music festival that takes place in Austin, Texas' Zilker Park. Each year, the ACL Festival brings together more than 150 acts from all over the world to play rock, indie, country, folk, electronic and more on eight stages. Approximately 75,000 fans attend the festival each day; 225,000 over the entire weekend (currently, event organizers have capped the daily attendance at 75,000).

McDonald Dam failure
The McDonald Dam, also referred to as "The Great Granite Dam" failure was a catastrophic dam failure near Austin, Texas that killed several dozen people in 1900. The destruction of the dam drained the Lake McDonald reservoir and left the city of Austin without electrical power for a number of months. "At 11.20 a.m. on April 7, when the lake level had reached a height of 11.07 feet above the crest of the dam, the dam gave way at a point about 300 feet from the east end of the dam.

Lions Municipal Golf Course
Lions Municipal Golf Course was constructed in 1928 by a yet-unknown architect for the Lions club, and has been under the operation of the city of Austin, Texas since 1936. The course was Austin's first public golf course, and is historically notable for being the first golf course south of the Mason-Dixon Line to racially integrate.
