Commerce is a city in Hunt County, Texas, United States, located in rural North Texas. The population was 9,250 at the 2010 census. The city is home to Texas A&M University–Commerce, and is situated approximately 60 miles northeast of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, and 45 miles south of the Texas/Oklahoma border.

Texas A&M University–Commerce is a U.S. State University located in the rural North Texas city of Commerce. It is a member of the Texas A&M University System, and, with over 12,000 students, is the second largest university within the system behind Texas A&M University–College Station, and is the fifth oldest public university institution in Texas.
Texas A&M-Commerce Field House
Texas A&M University-Commerce Field House or University Fieldhouse is a 5,000 seat multi-purpose arena in Commerce, Texas. It was built in 1950. It is the home of the Texas A&M University–Commerce Lions Men's and Women's basketball teams, as well as home to Lady Lion Volleyball. The Fieldhouse is also used as the location for the University's Commencement Exercises.
