Houston (Amtrak station)

The Houston Amtrak station is a train station in Houston, Texas, United States served by Amtrak, the U.S. national railroad passenger system. The present station, which opened to passengers on October 26, 1959, was built by the Southern Pacific Railroad to replace the former Grand Central Station which was located just to the east of the current property. That station operated from September 1, 1934 until the property was sold to the U.S.

The Fonde Recreation Center, often known simply as Fonde (pronounced "fon-DEE") or Fonde Rec, is a public gym near downtown Houston, Texas. Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark

The Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark is a public skatepark in Houston, Texas. The $2.7 million dollar project opened in June 2008. At over 40,000 square feet (3,700 m2), it is one of the largest in Texas. It has two cradles, one of which is thought to be the largest in the United States, as well as a kidney pool, a large bowl with 12.5 ft deep end and a street/flow area. The park was designed by Gridline Concrete Skatepark Design. The facility is free to the public. BMX bikes are not permitted.
