Pequop, Nevada
Pequop is a ghost town in the in Elko County, in the U.S. state of Nevada. It was located west of Toano. It was first a stop station of the Central Pacific Railroad and later Southern Pacific Railroad. Were erected several buildings to house section crews. The station had a problem: was placed in high mountains and the snow needed to clean the tracks, The end of the village was in the 1940s, When the introduction of diesel in locomotives became Pequop obsolete.
