WLBT Tower
The WLBT Tower was a 610 meter (2000 feet) high guy-wired aerial mast for the transmission of FM radio and TV-programs from Raymond, Mississippi, USA for the Jackson metro area. The mast, constructed in 1966. On October 23, 1997 the mast, which was property of Cosmos Broadcasting collapsed during the renovation of its guy wires. Three workers were killed. The tower has since been rebuilt.

Battle of Jackson, Mississippi
The Battle of Jackson, fought on May 14, 1863, in Jackson, Mississippi, was part of the Vicksburg Campaign in the American Civil War. Union commander Maj. Gen. Ulysses S. Grant and the Army of the Tennessee defeated Confederate General Joseph E. Johnston, seizing the city, cutting supply lines, and opening the path to the west and the Siege of Vicksburg.

On October 7, 2001, WXMS became a primary UPN affiliate after ceding its WB affiliation to sister station WDBD, which had defected from the Fox network.

It was owned by Louisiana state senator Louis "Woody" Jenkins and his company Great Oaks Broadcasting. Jenkins owned two stations in Baton Rouge--WBTR and WTNC. In 1994, he sold the station to Metrovision, a startup cable company, who changed the call sign to WMVT-LP the next year.

Jackson Square (Jackson, Mississippi)
Jackson Square is a regional shopping center located on the southeastern end of Jackson, Mississippi. The center opened in 1969 with more than 330,000 square feet of retail space on the rapidly developing U.S. Highway 51, today known as Terry Road, and frontage road of Interstate 55. The anchor tenants at the opening were Zayre, Giant Foods of America as well as junior anchors Eckerd, TG&Y, Shainberg's Dept Store and a cinema.
Mississippi River Basin Model
The Mississippi River Basin Model Waterways Experiment Station, located near Clinton, Mississippi, was a large-scale hyrdaulic model of the entire Mississippi River basin, covering an area of 200 acres. Now derelict, the model was built from 1943 to 1966 and in operation from 1949 until 1973. By comparison, the better known San Francisco Bay Model covers 1.5 acres and the Chesapeake Bay Model covers 8 acres.
