Iona, Idaho

Iona is a city in Bonneville County, Idaho, United States. It is part of the Idaho Falls, Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,803 at the 2010 census. Iona was homesteaded by Mormon pioneers in 1884. Sagebrush, as tall as a man sitting on a horse, covered the now famous potato fields. The short growing season made it difficult to grow crops and the early settlers were discouraged and many wanted to go back south to Utah.

Bonneville High School (Idaho Falls, Idaho)

Bonneville High School is a four-year public secondary school near Idaho Falls, Idaho. Northeast of the city, it opened in 1957 and is the original high school of the Bonneville Joint School District #93, which consolidated ten smaller districts east of Idaho Falls. A second traditional high school in the district opened in 1992, Hillcrest in Ammon, and Bonneville now serves the northern portion. The school colors are green and gold and the mascot is a bee.

Rocky Mountain Middle School

Rocky Mountain Middle School (RMMS) is an average sized school in the town of Idaho Falls, Idaho. It is in Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 and has grades 7 through 8. It has many different classes and exploratory classes. The building was originally Bonneville High School from 1957 until 1977 when a new building was completed just west of the old one.

Lincoln High School (Idaho Falls, Idaho)

Lincoln is an alternative high school designed to meet the needs of students who have dropped out of the traditional high school. The original location of the school was in the old Fairview South Elementary building located on Telford Road in Idaho Falls. In the fall of 1996 the school was moved to its permanent location on Lincoln Road.

Lincoln, Idaho

Lincoln is a census-designated place in Bonneville County, Idaho located just east of Idaho Falls, southwest of Iona and north of Ammon. As of the 2010 census, its population was 3,647. Lincoln has an area of 1.465 square miles, all of it land. Lincoln as a separate place came into being when a school house was built there in 1899 by residents who felt it was too far to send their children to school in Iona. It was originally named Centerville.
