The Dogwood Festival is a month-long series of events held every spring in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, USA, heralds the seasonal arrival of blooms on dogwoods, azaleas, daffodils, and tulips. It includes pageants, parades, parties, garden tours, athletic events, fashion shows, and dances. A highlight is the presentation of the Vestavia Belles in antebellum dresses. The Mountain Brook School System has four elementary schools that serve kindergarten through the sixth grade. These schools are Brookwood Forest Elementary School, Cherokee Bend Elementary School, Crestline Elementary School, and Mountain Brook Elementary School.
Seibert Stadium
Seibert Stadium is a 6,700-seat multi-purpose stadium in Homewood, Alabama. It is home to the Samford University Bulldogs college football team. The facility opened in 1958 and is named for F. Page Seibert, who in 1961, donated money for the completion of the stadium. The largest crowd in stadium history was in 1994 when over 11,000 showed up to see Steve McNair and Alcorn State. The four-level Bashinsky Press Tower was completed before the 1989 season.
McWhorter School of Pharmacy
The McWhorter School of Pharmacy is an American pharmacy school located in Birmingham, Alabama. The school offers a four-year Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D) degree, and is nationally-accredited by the ACPE. McWhorter was established January 31, 1927 as the Howard College Department of Pharmacy, and is one of Samford University's eight schools. The Admissions committee reviews applications for an entering Fall Class.
Beeson Divinity School
The Beeson Divinity School of Samford University is an interdenominational evangelical divinity school. The current dean is Timothy George. Though located on the campus of a Baptist university, Beeson remains interdenominational. The school offers the Master of Divinity degree, the Master of Arts in Theological Studies degree, and the Doctor of Ministry degree.
Briarwood Presbyterian Church
Briarwood Presbyterian Church was formed in 1960 by the Rev. Frank M. Barker, Jr. and is located in suburban Birmingham, Alabama. It is a conservative evangelical Protestant congregation, and has been so since its inception. In 1999, Barker retired after serving as the senior pastor for 40 years, and was succeeded by the Rev. Birmingham Country Club (Alabama)

Edgewood Lake (Alabama)
Edgewood Lake was located in Homewood, Alabama, from 1913 till the 1940s when the lake was drained. The lake was formed by damming Shades Creek near Green Springs Highway.
