Bryggen
Bryggen, also known as Tyskebryggen (the German Wharf) is a series of Hanseatic commercial buildings lining the eastern side of the fjord coming into Bergen, Norway. Bryggen has since 1979 been on the UNESCO list for World Cultural Heritage sites. The name has the same origin as the Flemish city of Brugge. The city of Bergen was founded in 1070. The area of the present Bryggen constitutes the oldest part of the city.
Fløibanen
Fløibanen is a funicular in Bergen, Norway which runs up the mountain of Fløyen. It is one of Bergen's major tourist attractions and one of Norway's most visited attractions. Over 1 million passengers a year have used it over the past few years. Fløibanen was officially opened on 15 January 1918. The idea to build transport to Fløyen was put forward in 1895 by John Lund, a member of the Norwegian legislature. Work to build Fløibanen started in 1914. The line was ready in 1918.

Hanseatic Museum and Schøtstuene
Hanseatic Museum and Schøtstuene (Det Hanseatiske Museum og Schøtstuene) is a museum in the city of Bergen, Norway. The main part of the museum is located in Finnegården, one of the conserved wooden buildings on Bryggen in Bergen, Norway. The museum covers the Hanseatic period of time in Bergen. This building was put up after a fire in 1702 when most of the city centre of Bergen burned down. The museum was started in a building owned the merchant J.W. Olsen in 1872.
Bryggens Museum
Bryggens Museum was built in 1976. The architect behind the work was Øivind Maurseth, who also designed the SAS hotel nearby. The museum was built on the site of a fire that occurred in Bryggen in Bergen, Norway in 1955. Remains have been uncovered by archaeological excavations on the site of the fire. Many of the remains now form the basis of the modern museum and are permanently exhibited. However, the museum also has changing exhibits.
Battle of Vågen
The Battle of Vågen was a naval battle between a Dutch merchant and treasure fleet and an English flotilla of warships in August 1665 as part of the Second Anglo-Dutch War. The battle took place in Vågen, the main port area of neutral Bergen, Norway. Due to a delay in orders the Norwegian commanders took the side of the Dutch, contrary to the secret intentions of the King of Norway and Denmark.
German cruiser Königsberg
Königsberg was a German light cruiser that was operated between 1929 and April 1940, including service in World War II. She was the lead vessel of her class and was operated by two German navies, the Reichsmarine and the Kriegsmarine. She had two sister ships, Karlsruhe and Köln. Königsberg was built by the Kriegsmarinewerft in Wilhelmshaven; she was laid down in April 1926, launched in March 1927, and commissioned into the Reichsmarine in April 1929.

The newspaper webpage ba. no is Bergen's largest local newspaper webpage. In 2006, Bergensavisen had a daily circulation of 30.719 on Monday to Saturday, and 29.782 on Sundays. Approximately 108.000 read the paper every day.

Tanks Upper Secondary School (Norwegian: Tanks videregående skole) is an upper secondary school in the centre of Bergen, Norway. The school opened in 1850 as Den Tankske Skole, funded by an endowement established by merchant Hans Tank and his wife around fifty years earlier. The school building is 150 years old and in bad shape. Due to this the school will move to new buildings in 4 years time.

Bergen landdistrikt (English: Bergen rural district) is a former municipality in Hordaland county, Norway. Bergen landdistrikt or Domkirken og Korskirkens landsokn (English: Domkirken and Korskirkens rural parish) was established as a municipality January 1, 1838. In the 1835 census the area had a population of 1,381. It was merged with the municipality and county of Bergen January 1, 1877. Prior to the merger Bergen landdistrikt had a population of 4,833 (according to the 1875 census).
Bergen Light Rail
Bergen Light Rail is a light rail system in Bergen, Norway. The first stage of the project is a fifteen-station, 9.8-kilometre stretch between the city center and Nesttun, which opened on 22 June 2010. Construction continued from Nesttun to Rådal in January 2011; further plans for the project involve three lines, stretching to Bergen Airport, Flesland; Åsane and Storavatnet. Plans for rail transit have existed since the 1970s, following the 1965 closing of the Bergen Tramway.

Christi Krybbe skoler
Christi Krybbe skoler is an elementary school in Bergen, Norway. It is the oldest existing school of elementary education in Scandinavia, having been founded 1737 under the name Korskirken's School for the Poor. The school got its own building in 1740, and the name was changed to Christi Krybbe fundasskole. Later, in 1874, the school was expanded when a second building, named Øvregaten skole, was built next to the old one.

Bergen Cathedral
Bergen Cathedral is the seat of the Diocese of Bjørgvin in the Church of Norway. Located in the city centre of Bergen, Norway, the first recorded reference to it is dated 1181. It retains its ancient dedication to St Olaf. During the reign of king Haakon IV of Norway, a Franciscan friary was established near the church, then known as Olavskirken, or the church of Saint Olaf, which was incorporated in it. The church burned down in 1248 and again in 1270, but was reconstructed after both fires.

Koengen
Koengen is an outdoor concert venue in the city centre of Bergen, Norway. The concert venue has a capacity of approximately 23,500 people. Formerly an army depot, it is located next to the medieval Bergenhus Fortress. The Buekorps Museum is a museum in Bergen, Norway dedicated to buekorps, which are traditional marching neighborhood youth organizations. The Buekorps Museum is located in Muren, or Murhvelvingen, at Østre Muralmenning. The building was constructed by Erik Rosenkrantz after a great fire disasters in Bergen in 1561. The museum was established in 1977.

Christinegård
The former farm Christinegård, also known as Christinelyst and Prahlgården is located in the Formannsvei 3 in Sandviken, Norway in Bergen. The plant has a dominant position in the hillside overlooking the fjord, Byfjorden. The main building is originally constructed around 1763 and rebuilt or newly built in the 1830s.
Christ Church, Bergen
Christ Church or the Old Cathedral on Holmen (Kristkirken på Holmen i Bergen) was the main church and cathedral of Bergen. The church was built by King Olav Kyrre during the period 1066-1093. The church was situated north of Haakon's hall, the King's hall. It was dedicated to the Holy Trinity but was always known as Christ Church. In 1170 the relics of Saint Sunniva were moved here from Selja and placed on the main altar.
Skansen Tunnel (Bergen)
The Skansen Tunnel is a proposed road tunnel in Bergen, Norway, which would run from Bontelabo to either Christies gate in the city center, or connect to the Fløyfjell Tunnel. The intention is to allow traffic to and from Sandviken to bypass Bryggen and the city center. The project would be part of Norwegian County Road 585 and financing has been secured through the Bergen Program. The tunnel is estimated to cost NOK 430 million and could be completed by 2015.
Fløyfjellet (Nordland)
Fløya, or Fløyfjellet, former name Svålen, is a mountain near Svolvær on the island of Austvågøy in the Lofoten archipelago. The height of Fløyfjellet is 569 m . The mountain is popular among climbers, in particular Svolværgeita, a 150 m high pinnacle at the southern face of Fløya, which resembles a goat with two horns.
