Ritsurin Garden
Ritsurin Garden is one of the most famous and most beautiful historical gardens in Japan. The garden is situated in the city of Takamatsu and is considered one of its main attractions. The garden contains a tea house, various folk art and craft exhibits (including the Sanuki Folk Craft Museum), as well as various folk art and craft items for sale. A tour through the garden generally takes one to two hours.
Busshozan
is an outlying suburb of Takamatsu, Kagawa in Japan. The main feature of Busshozan suburb is the old main street (Honchou Douri) leading to Chikiri Shrine. The houses lining the street are of the traditional wooden variety, and some are officially listed as monuments. Chikiri Shrine itself is a small collection of ramshackle wooden buildings on the top of a small, jagged hill.

Megijima
Megijima is an island located in the Seto Inland Sea of Japan, north of the city of Takamatsu, and is part of Kagawa Prefecture. It has an area of 2.66 km2, a coastline of 8.9 km, and a population of about 200. The island has been linked to the mythical island Onigashima ("island of ogres"), visited by the folk tale character Momotarō. The caves at the top of Washi-ga-mine Summit, as the home of the ogres from that story, are a popular tourist spot.

Yashima-ji
Yashima-ji is a Shingon temple in Yashima, a lava plateau to the northeast of Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. A branch temple of Ninna-ji in Kyoto, it is the eighty-fourth temple on the Shikoku 88 temple pilgrimage. It is said to have been founded as a Ritsu school temple by Ganjin in 754, and to have been converted by Kōbō Daishi. The 5x5 bay irimoya-zukuri tiled Hondō (1618) has been designated an Important Cultural Property.
