Ishikari Subprefecture
is a subprefecture of Hokkaidō Prefecture, Japan, located in the western part of the island. The subprefecture covers 3,539.86 square kilometres and in 2011 had a population of 2,334,241. The subprefecture takes its name from the Ishikari River, the third longest in Japan, which flows through western Hokkaidō and empties into the Sea of Japan in the city of Ishikari. There are 6 cities, three towns, and one village under its jurisdiction.
Hokkaido University
, or Hokudai, is one of the national universities of Japan. It is a member of the National Seven Universities, which were established as the best national higher education or research institute. It is located in downtown Sapporo, just north of Sapporo Station, and stretching approximately 2.4 kilometers northward. It is considered as one of the top universities in Japan.
Sapporo Station
is a railway station located in Chūō-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaidō, Japan. It is served by Hakodate Main Line and other lines of Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido), and is also connected to the Sapporo Subway. Sapporo Station is the starting point and terminus for the limited expresses of JR Hokkaido. It also has the tallest building in Hokkaido. Sapporo station is developing into a commercial center as large as Ōdōri Park and Susukino.
Sapporo Grand Hotel
The Sapporo Grand Hotel is an historic hotel in the Chūō district of Sapporo, Japan. It is said to have been constructed at Prince Chichibu's suggestion in 1928, while he was on a skiing trip, that the city needed a western-style hotel. The Grand Hotel first opened its doors in 1934 and was at the time of its construction the tallest building in the city. It benefited considerably from the Japanese Imperial Army's decision to use that part of Hokkaidō for military maneuvers during the 1930s.
Chūō-ku, Sapporo
Chūō-ku, Sapporo is one of the ten wards in Sapporo city, Japan. Chūō-ku means "central ward" in Japanese. As its name suggests, city administration and entertainment facilities are centred in this ward.
Former Hokkaidō Government Office
The facilities of the former Hokkaidō Government Office in Sapporo, Japan, include a conference room, a museum shop, a tourist information office, and a few historical exhibition rooms and libraries. Visitors can enter the building for free. Flower gardens and a pond are located in front of the building, which occasionally are designated as some event venues.
Sapporo Clock Tower
Sapporo Clock Tower (札幌時計台 Sapporo Tokeidai) is a wooden structure and well-known local tourist attraction, located at North 1 West 2, Chūō-ku, Sapporo, the largest city on the island of Hokkaidō, northern Japan. The building is of American design and is one of the few surviving Western-style buildings in Sapporo, a city developed in the 1870s with assistance from the American government.

Sapporo Racecourse

Officially, Sapporo JR Tower includes not only the Tower itself, but also the Sapporo Stellar Place, the Daimaru Sapporo branch store, the Sapporo Cinema Frontier, the JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo, office complex, and other sections neighboring JR Sapporo Station.
Odori Park
is a park located in the heart of Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. Ōdōri means "large street" in Japanese. It stretches east to west through Nishi 1 chōme, Ōdōri to Nishi 12 chōme, Ōdōri ("Nishi" means west, and "chōme" is a block in Japanese), and divides the city into north and south sections. Odori Park spans about 1.5 km and covers 78,901 m². During the urban planning of Sapporo, it was originally designated as the main street but it eventually became a park.
Hokkaido University Botanical Gardens
The Hokkaido University Botanical Gardens (北海道大学植物園, Hokkaidō Daigaku Shokubutsuen, 13.3 hectares) are botanical gardens operated by Hokkaido University. They are located at North 3, West 8, Chūō-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaidō, Japan, and open daily; an admission fee is charged. The gardens were established in 1886 as part of the Old Sapporo Agricultural College, and are now the second oldest botanical gardens in Japan.

Sapporo Medical University is a public university in Chūō-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaidō, Japan. The precursor of the school was founded in 1945, and it was chartered as a university in 1950.

Sapporo Independent Christian Church
The Sapporo Independent Christian Church is a church located in Sapporo, Japan. It was founded in 1882 by students of William S. Clark at the Sapporo Agricultural College. These students became known as the "Sapporo band" of Christians. Although Clark had returned to the United States by the time the church was founded, he supported it financially and corresponded with its members through letters.
