Hiroshima Peace Memorial

Hiroshima Peace Memorial, commonly called the Atomic Bomb Dome or A-Bomb Dome, in Hiroshima, Japan, is part of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. The ruin serves as a memorial to the people who were killed in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. Over 70,000 people were killed instantly, and another 70,000 suffered fatal injuries from the radiation.

Hiroshima Municipal Stadium (1957)

was a stadium in Hiroshima, Japan. It was primarily used for baseball, and was the home field of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp. It opened in 1957 and held 31,984 people. It stood in the central area of Hiroshima across from the Hiroshima Peace Memorial. To replace the stadium, the new municipal stadium was completed in March 2009. The first stadium was renamed Former Hiroshima Municipal Stadium on April 1, 2009, and used for amateur baseball.

Hiroshima Green Arena

Hiroshima Green Arena (formerly Hiroshima Prefectural Gymnasium) is an indoor sporting arena located in Hiroshima, Japan. The capacity of the arena's main stadium is 8,000. The arena was rebuilt for 1994 Asian Games. It hosted some of the group games for the 2006 FIVB Men's World Championship and 2006 FIBA World Championship. On June 13, 2009, Hiroshima Green Arena was the site of the death of Mitsuharu Misawa during a Pro Wrestling NOAH event.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park

is a memorial park in the center of Hiroshima, Japan. It is dedicated to the legacy of Hiroshima as the first city in the world to suffer a nuclear attack, and to the memories of the bomb's direct and indirect victims (of whom there may have been as many as 140,000). The location of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park was once the city’s busiest downtown commercial and residential district. The park was built on open field that was created by the explosion.

The Honkawa Elementary School Peace Museum (本川小学校平和資料館 Honkawa Shogakkou Heiwa Shiryokan) is a museum of the Peace in Honkawacho, Naka-ku, Hiroshima, Japan. The school was the closest school to ground zero. They lost about 400 students and more than 10 teachers, and the building took great amounts of damage from the atomic bomb dropped on August 6, 1945.

Shima Hospital

was a Japanese hospital destroyed by the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan, on August 6, 1945. Shima Hospital is considered to be ground zero of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. In 1948, Dr. Kaoru Shima rebuilt it from the ground up. The rebuilt Shima Surgery is still in operation to the present day under the name "Shima geka naika". The specialities of the present Shima geka naika are surgery, orthopaedics, internal medicine, and endoscope treatment of the stomach and intestines.

Aioi Bridge

The Aioi Bridge is an unusual "T"-shaped bridge in Hiroshima, Japan. The original bridge, constructed in 1932, was the aiming point for the 1945 Hiroshima atom bomb because its shape was easily recognized from the air. A replica was constructed in 1983. The longest part of the bridge crosses the Ota River just to the north of the island containing the district of Nakajima-cho. The downstroke of the "T" links the main bridge to the island.
