Sky Dream Fukuoka
The Sky Dream Fukuoka was a Ferris wheel which operated at Evergreen Marinoa in the city of Fukuoka, Japan, from 2001 until September 2009. It stood 120 metres high. The gondolas were all air conditioned and accessible for wheelchair-users. One revolution took approximately 20 minutes. Sky Dream Fukuoka closed from 26 September 2009. It was subsequently sold to a Taiwanese company for shipping and rebuilding in Taiwan.
Jōnan-ku, Fukuoka
Jōnan-ku, Fukuoka is one of the seven wards of Fukuoka City, Japan. As of November 1, 2004, it had a population of 128,057 people, making up 9.2% of Fukuoka City, with an area of 16.02 km. At the time of Fukuoka City's official designation as a City in 1972, the area now known as Jōnan-ku was part of the larger ward of Nishi-ku. On May 1, 1982, Nishi-ku was subdivided into the three smaller wards of Nishi-ku, Sawara-ku and Jōnan-ku.
Fukuoka Dome
The Fukuoka Yafuoku! Dome is a baseball field, located in Chūō-ku, Fukuoka, Japan. Built in 1993, the stadium was originally named Fukuoka Dome and can accommodate 38,561 spectators. It was Japan's first stadium with a retractable roof. In 2005, Yahoo! JAPAN, one of SoftBank's subsidiaries, acquired the stadium's naming rights, and thus renamed it Fukuoka Yahoo! JAPAN Dome or abbreviated as Yahoo Dome, In January 2013, it was renamed to Fukuoka Yafuoku! Dome .
Nishi-ku, Fukuoka
Nishi-ku, Fukuoka is one of the seven wards of Fukuoka City, Japan. Meaning literally "west ward," it is bordered to the east by Sawara-ku, and to the west by Itoshima. As of 2003, it has a population of 173,813 people and an area of 83.81 km. It has recently gained additional infrastructure in the form of the Nanakuma Line, in addition to the Fukuoka City Subway and the Chikuhi Line.

Fukuoka Tower
is a 234 metre (767.7 feet) tall tower located in the Momochihama area of Fukuoka, Japan. It is the tallest seaside tower in Japan. Fukuoka Tower was finished in 1989, taking a total of 14 months to build at a cost of ¥6,000,000,000. It was designed by Nikken Sekkei. It was built on reclaimed land out of Hakata Bay. Fukuoka Tower has three observation decks: one at 116m, a café/lounge deck at 120m and the highest at 123 metres above the ground.
Heiwadai Stadium
Heiwadai Stadium was a stadium in Fukuoka, Fukuoka, Japan. It was primarily used for baseball and was home of the Nishitetsu Lions until they moved to Tokorozawa and the Seibu Dome in 1979. The stadium was opened in 1928 and had a capacity of 32,000 people. It was also home to the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks from 1988 when they moved from Osaka until 1993 when the new Fukuoka Dome was built.

Ōhori Park
Ōhori Park is a park in Chūō-ku, Fukuoka, Japan and a registered Place of Scenic Beauty. The name Ōhori means a trench and it derives from the fact that Kuroda Nagamasa, the old lord of Fukuoka, reclaimed the land called Kusagae which was facing Hakata Bay and made a trench for the Fukuoka Castle. The present park was reconstructed by Fukuoka City, modeling on the West Lake of China, and opened in 1929.
