Its formal name means Pinheiro Multi-Modality Center and honors the Pine tree, which is a common tree in the state.

Wire Opera House
The Ópera de Arame, in Portuguese, or the Wire Opera House, in English, is a theatre house located in the city of Curitiba, the capital of the state of Paraná, in southern Brazil. It is one of the major tourist attractions of the city. Situated in the middle of an urban green park, Parque das Pedreiras, the Wire Opera House theatre is built out of steel tubes, which gave it its name. It is built on the site of a former rock quarry.
Oscar Niemeyer Museum
The Oscar Niemeyer Museum (Portuguese: Museu Oscar Niemeyer) is located in the city of Curitiba, in the state of Paraná, in Brazil. It was inaugurated in 2002 with the name Novo Museu or New Museum. The Pedreira Paulo Leminski is a house of spectacles, outdoors, in Curitiba, with a capacity of up to 20,000 people. Its name is a tribute to Paulo Leminski, curitibano writer of the twentieth century, and because the place formerly had served as a Municipal Pedreira, a plant of asphalt. Today the site is surrounded by a wall of rock thirty meters (100') high. Located in the neighborhood of Abranches, the site has about 103,500 metres, and its stage has around 480m². It was planted in 1990.
