The Whitsunday Islands are a collection of continental islands of various sizes off the central coast of Queensland, Australia, situated between just south of Bowen and to the north of Mackay, some 900 kilometres north of Brisbane. The island group is centred on Whitsunday Island, while the group's commercial centre is Hamilton Island.
Shute Harbour
Shute Harbour is a sheltered port for small vessels located approximately 10 kilometres east of Airlie Beach on the Whitsunday Coast of Queensland, Australia. Serving mainly as a boarding point for ferries between the Whitsunday Islands and the mainland, it is also home to many charter boat operations. It is second only to Sydney’s Circular Quay as the busiest commuter port in Australia and it has the largest seaplane airbase in the Southern hemisphere.
Hook Island
Hook Island is one of the Whitsunday Islands off the coast of the Australian state of Queensland. The island is almost uninhabited, quite rugged and almost completely contained within a section of the Whitsunday Islands National Park . The island has two prominent geographical features on the southern side of Hook Island; the Nara and Macona inlets, two fjord-like recesses that are used as anchorages for the Whitsunday tourist fleet.

Dent Island is part of the Whitsunday Group and lies immediately west of Hamilton Island. The Whitsunday Group is one of the Island Groups that together comprise the Whitsunday Islands (also known as the Greater Whitsunday Islands or Greater Whitsundays).
Daydream Island
Daydream Island is one of seven islands of the Molle Group, a sub-group of the Whitsunday Islands in Queensland, Australia. The island is small, measuring 1 km in length and 400 m at its widest point. The highest point on the island is 51 metres above sea level. There are two tourist resorts on the island: the original resort at the southern end and a newer resort at the north-eastern end.
South Molle Island
South Molle Island, part of the Whitsunday Islands, is a resort island in the Whitsunday section of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park in Australia. The hilly island has numerous bays and inlets accessible by 16 km of walking tracks, with 420 ha protected in the Whitsunday Islands National Park. The islands were named by Lieutenant Charles Jefferys in 1815 after Colonel George James Molle, the then Lieutenant Governor of New South Wales.

Long Island is a member of the Whitsunday Island group off the east coast of Queensland, Australia. It is 9 kilometres in length and is at its widest point only 400 metres . Long Island is the closest island in the Whitsunday group to the mainland of Australia, being only 1 kilometre from the coastline. A boat transfer to the island from Shute Harbour on the mainland takes 20 minutes. Located on the island is Long Island Resort, overlooking Happy Bay.
Whitehaven Beach
Whitehaven Beach is a 7 km stretch along Whitsunday Island. The island is accessible by boat from the mainland tourist ports of Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour, as well as Hamilton Island. The Whitehaven Beach Ocean Swim is a 2 km open swimming competition held on the Beach in November each year as part of the Hamilton Island Triathlon Event. The 2012 event was held on 11 November 2012
Hamilton Island Golf Club
Hamilton Island Golf Club is a golf course located in near the Island Resort Town of Hamilton Island in Queensland's Whitsunday Islands. Despite its name, the Hamilton Island Golf Club is actually located on neighbouring Dent Island - but is named as such because the course is owned and operated by Hamilton Island Enterprises (who own the leases on both Hamilton & Dent Islands) and the course can only be accessed by via the official boat from Hamilton Island Marina.
Eva Bay
Eva Bay is a small bay in the Whitsunday Islands off the coast of Queensland, Australia. It is located on the south east corner of the Whitsunday Island on the opposite side to Whitehaven Beach. It was named after Eva Mezei who got married in the bay on 15 November 2009. The bay is rarely visited by anyone due and is often overlooked due to its close proximity to the famous Whitehaven Beach. Mezei Beach, which is one of three beaches within Eva Bay is the biggest of the three.
