Shire of Noosa
The Shire of Noosa is a local government area about 130 kilometres north of Brisbane in the Sunshine Coast region of South East Queensland, Australia. The shire covered an area of 868.7 square kilometres, and existed as a local government entity from 1910 until 2008, when it amalgamated with the Shire of Maroochy and City of Caloundra to form the Sunshine Coast Region. The local Noosa council will be restored in 2014 after residents there voted to leave the amalgamated Sunshine Coast council.

Pomona is a town located at the base of Mount Cooroora at the northern end of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. The town was originally called Pinbarren siding and was renamed Pomona in 1906, after the Roman goddess of fruit and orchards. Pomona is 166 kilometres north of Brisbane, and approximately 30 minutes driving time from Noosa Heads.
Boreen Point, Queensland
Boreen Point is a small town north of Tewantin on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. The name comes from an Aboriginal word from the tribes around Moreton Bay which refers to the pathway that led between two bora rings. One of Boreen Point's major attractions is Lake Cootharaba, a very large, shallow lake that is recognised nationally for its fantastic weather for sailing and windsurfing. The lake leads from the Noosa River and also up to national parks.

Cooroy is a railway station on the Nambour and Gympie North Line of South East Queensland, Australia. It is part of the Queensland Rail City network. Noosa Civic
Noosa Civic is a shopping centre located west of Noosa on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Major stores include Woolworths and Big W and the centre includes over 8,000 square metres of specialty retail stores. The development commenced construction in 2005 and stage one, consisting of 30,000 square metres of retail and commercial development in four precincts was opened in October 2006.
Lake Cootharaba

Teewah Beach
Teewah Beach is a beach just north of the town of Noosa in Queensland, Australia. It forms the eastern boundary of the Cooloola section of the Great Sandy National Park. The beach extends from approximately 25°56'11"S, 153°11'18"E to 26°22'44"S, 153°04'38"E, a distance of about 51 kilometres. Its northern extent is bounded by Double Island Point. Its southern extent is bounded by the Noosa River. Many people living in Noosa and surrounding areas refer to the southern end as "the north shore".
Six Mile Creek Dam
Lake Macdonald is situated 6 km from Cooroy on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. The construction of Six Mile Creek Dam for town water in 1965 created Lake MacDonald. It has a surface area of 260 ha an average depth of 6 metres.
Noosa River
The Noosa River is a river situated in South East Queensland. The catchment starts in Wahpoonga Range near Mount Elliot in the coastal Great Sandy National Park and meanders south through a lakes district around Tewantin. Lakes situated on the river include Lake Cooloola, Lake Como, Lake Cootharaba, Lake Cooroibah and Lake Weyba. The catchment is mostly covered by sand dunes and has two major tributaries—Gin Gin Creek and Teewah Creek.
