The road travels southeast–east starting from Darwin CBD toward Darwin's eastern suburb of Berrimah, then continues to a connection with the Stuart Highway at Palmerston. Tiger Brennan Drive runs parallel with the Stuart Highway for most of its length. The road was named after Harold "Tiger" Brennan, a long serving Northern Territory politician and former mayor of Darwin.

Amy Johnson Avenue is a major arterial road in Darwin's eastern suburbs. The road travels 4 kilometres in a north - south direction, starting from Old McMillans Road in the north passing through the Stuart Highway and ending at Tiger Brennan Drive in the south. Amy Johnson Avenue is a quick bypass from Palmerston and Darwin's southern suburbs to Darwin Airport. The road was named after Amy Johnson, who was the first woman to fly solo from London to Darwin in 1930.
Knuckey Lagoons Conservation Reserve
Knuckey Lagoons Conservation Reserve is a small conservation reserve wetland located on the outskirts of Darwin and Palmerston in the Northern Territory. The area which the lagoon is located was named in 1869 after surveyor Richard Knuckey by the Surveyor General, Goyder.

Northern Immigration Detention Centre
Northern Immigration Detention Centre is a facility operated by the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship to house people and process their applications concerning immigration detention. It is located at Coonawarra, an outer Darwin suburb and is described as primarily accommodating illegal foreign fishers. It has an operating capacity of 554 people. On 30 August 2010 100 detainees staged a riot and climbed on the roofs of buildings in the facility.
Berrimah Road
Berrimah Road is a major arterial road in the outer eastern suburbs of Darwin, Northern Territory Australia. The road provides an important transport corridor to access the port facilities at East Arm as well as the northernmost passenger and freight terminals on the Adelaide-Darwin railway. It has undergone recent upgrades as part of the Tiger Brennan Drive extension works between 2009 and 2012.
