Lyari River
Lyari River is a small ephemeral stream that flows through the Pakistani megacity of Karachi from north east to the center and drains into the Arabian Sea at the Monora channel. It is one of the two rivers of Karachi, the other one being Malir River. The river is about 50 kilometres long. As a seasonal river it carrys the collected water after the rains in the catchment area.
Sandspit Beach
Sandspit Beach is situated south west of Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It is a very famous tourist spot. The sea at Sandspit is very calm and quiet from October to March and very rough during the monsoon. Remarkable variety of marine life-algae, and crabs are found here. The shallow water here is ideal for swimming and sunbathing. It has an unusual rocky formation. Sandspit beach is quite a popular hangout and relaxation spot in Karachi.

It is accessible through Hawkes Bay Road (Mauripur Road) or Mubarak Goth Road from Karachi. It is a very famous tourist resort. It is a sandy beach with crystal blue water. Everyday a large numbers of peoples from Karachi visit there and enjoy picnic, swimming, fishing, and camel & horse riding. Huts are also available on rental there.
Hawke's Bay Town
Hawke's Bay Town is located in Keamari Town in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Hawke's Bay Town was notified in July, 1984 by Karachi Development Authority. It is a residential Scheme for low / medium income group. Hawke's Bay Town is also being developed as a neighborhood to settle over 250,000 people displaced by the construction of Lyari Expressway. However the entire Hawke's Bay Housing Scheme No.42 is not for the settlement of displaced peoples of the construction of Lyari Expressway.

The Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited (KSEW), is Situated at West Wharf in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Karachi Shipyard is the oldest Heavy Engineering Works of Pakistan which is catering for its Ship Building, Ship Repairing, Submarine/Warship Construction and Heavy/General Engineering requirements. KSEW was established in early 1950s as a project of PIDC. It was incorporated as a public limited company in 1957. The shipyard spread over an area of 29 hectares (71 acres).

Dastagir Society borders Azizabad (Karachi), Ysinabad, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and block 7 F.B. Area. It comprises block 9, 14 and 16 of F.B. Area. The hospital "Farzana Dawakhana" is in block 9 along with Dastagir School and Anglo Oriental School. The houses here are mostly of 120 yards, but there are some 200 yard houses as well.

The Karachi Naval Dockyard, also refers as PN Dockyard, is a naval submarine base located adjacent to the commercial Karachi Shipyard and the PNS Qasim. The Submarine base is the only submarine construction base for the Pakistan Navy.
Karachi West District
