New Kent High School is a public high school located in New Kent, Virginia, east of Richmond. Athletic teams compete in the Virginia High School League's AA Bay Rivers District in Region I. Cumberland Marsh Natural Area Preserve

Cumberland Marsh Natural Area Preserve is a Natural Area Preserve located in New Kent County, Virginia. Owned by the Nature Conservancy, it preserves 1,193 acres of saltwater tidal marsh along the Pamunkey River, providing habitat for bald eagles, osprey, blue herons, and egrets, as well as for the sensitive joint-vetch. It is an important habitat for wintering waterfowl as well.
