Belle Haven, Fairfax County, Virginia
Belle Haven is a census-designated place (CDP) in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States. Nearby CDPs are Huntington, Virginia (west), Groveton, Virginia (southwest) and Fort Hunt, Virginia (south). The population was 6,518 at the 2010 census. The CDP is located just south of Old Town Alexandria and bounded on the west by Richmond Highway and on the east by the Potomac River. It encompasses Belle Haven, a wealthy subdivision dating from the 1920s, and several adjoining neighborhoods.

Dyke Marsh
Dyke Marsh is located on the west bank of the Potomac River south of Alexandria, Virginia between Old Town Alexandria and Mount Vernon. Dyke Marsh consists of about 380 acres of tidal marsh, floodplain, and swamp forest. Forming 5,000 to 7,000 years ago, Dyke Marsh is the largest remaining piece of freshwater tidal wetlands left in the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area. The marsh is managed by the National Park Service. Dyke Marsh contains a wide array of plant and animal life.
Mount Eagle (plantation)
Mount Eagle, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA, was the home of Bryan Fairfax. John Colville of Newcastle upon Tyne owned 1,000 acres which he called Cleesh. When he died, he left 47 acres to the Earl of Tankerville, settled in 1797. In later life, Bryan Fairfax was ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church in 1789, serving as rector of Christ Church in nearby Alexandria, Virginia, from 1790 to 1792.

Hollindale is an unincorporated community in Fort Hunt, Fairfax County, Virginia, United States close to the George Washington Memorial Parkway in ZIP code 22306. As of 2009, it had 926 residents. Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church and Hollin Meadows Elementary School are located within the community. Hollindale is set along the hilly woodlands across from the Potomac. It was built around several estates and on what used to be Sherwood Dairy Farm, and is adjacent to the Hollin Hills community.
Beacon Field Airport
Beacon Field Airport was an airport located in the Groveton area of Fairfax County, Virginia, from the 1920s until its closure in 1959. One of the nation's earliest private airports, and particularly in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area, it received its name because it was the location of an airway beacon used to guide early airmail pilots. It later became a popular training site, complete with FBO, for pilots learning to fly after World War II on the G.I. Bill.
