Emporium, Pennsylvania

Emporium is a borough in Cameron County, Pennsylvania, 100 miles west-northwest of Williamsport. Early in the twentieth century, it had large powder plants and manufacturers of radio tubes, incandescent lamps, paving brick, flour, iron, lumber, sole leather, etc. In 1900, 2,463 people lived in Emporium, and in 1910, the population was 2,916, and in 2000 the population was 2,526. At the 2010 census, the population was 2,073. It is the county seat of Cameron County.

Cameron County Courthouse (Pennsylvania)

The Cameron County Courthouse is an historic courthouse building located at 20 East 5th Street in Emporium, Cameron County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1890 in the Richardsonian Romanesque style of architecture and its entire cost was paid by public subscription, $5,000 of which was given by the Philadelphia and Erie Land Company. It is distinguished by its front clock tower topped by a statue of Lady Justice.
