Fawcett Stadium

Fawcett Stadium is a football stadium in Canton, Ohio. The stadium was officially dedicated in 1938. Fawcett Stadium is named for John A. Fawcett. Mr. Fawcett was a former member of the Canton Board of Education and a well-known athlete. He died of pneumonia at the age of 44, a few years before the stadium was built. The stadium was built from 1937-1939 at an estimated cost of $500,000.

Stark Area Regional Transit Authority

SARTA, (Stark Area Regional Transit Authority), is a public sector transit agency servicing Stark County, a county in Ohio containing Canton, Alliance, and Massillon. Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium

Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium is a stadium in Canton, Ohio primarily used for baseball. The facility is named after former Major League Baseball player Thurman Munson, who grew up in Canton. Aultman Hospital

Aultman Hospital is a non-profit hospital located in Canton, Ohio, United States. It is the largest hospital and the largest employer, with over 5000 employees, in Stark County. In January 1890, Mrs. Elizabeth Harter, daughter of Cornelius Aultman, purchased 4.5 acres of land in the southwest end of Canton. The hospital opened its doors on Jan. 17, 1892. In 1925, the Harter Building was constructed, adding 100 beds to the 40-room hospital.

Mahaffey Park

Mahaffey Park was a baseball and football field in Canton, Ohio. It was the home of the professional football team called the Canton Bulldogs, which operated off and on during the first quarter of the 20th Century. It was also used for baseball from time to time, including as a semi-neutral site by the Cleveland Indians during 1902 and 1903. The field was located at what is now the corner of Tuscarawas Street West (to the south) and McKinley Avenue Northwest (to the east).

The Basilica of Saint John the Baptist is a Roman Catholic church in Canton, Ohio, United States. The building was designed by American architect James Renwick, Jr. (1818–1895). Construction was completed in 1871, and the church was dedicated in 1872. Saint John the Baptist was elevated to a minor basilica on June 19, 2012. The church claims to be the "oldest Catholic parish in northeastern Ohio", having been established in 1823.
