The University of Dayton Ghetto is a neighborhood in Dayton, Ohio, that is home to upperclassmen at the University of Dayton (UD). It is an example of a form of housing called a student ghetto. The Fraze Pavilion is a 4,300-seat outdoor amphitheater in Kettering, Ohio that opened in 1991. The Pavilion is named after Ermal Fraze, late resident of Kettering and inventor of the pop-top beverage can. The theater hosts many popular American and international music artists. Marvin Hamlisch was the very first act to play the Fraze in 1991. In 2003, Sheryl Crow performed two back-to-back sold-out concerts, during which she filmed her DVD, C'mon America 2003.

Gentile Air Force Station
Gentile Air Force Station was a U.S. Air Force facility in Kettering, Ohio, that closed in 1997. It was named for World War II fighter ace Don Gentile, killed on January 28, 1951, when he crashed in a Lockheed T-33 trainer at Forestville, Maryland. It was the site of the Defense Electronics Supply Center (which has since moved to Defense Supply Center, Columbus) and its Defense Automatic Addressing System Center.
