Ashland County is a county located in the state of Ohio, United States, and was formed in 1846 from parts of Huron, Lorain, Richland and Wayne Counties. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 53,139, which is an increase of 1.2% from 52,523 in 2000. Its county seat is Ashland. It is named for "Ashland", the home of Senator Henry Clay near Lexington, Kentucky. The Ashland Micropolitan Statistical Area includes all of Ashland County.

Mansfield Motorsports Park
The former Mansfield Motorsports Park (known as Mansfield Motorsports Speedway prior to 2007) closed in 2010. The facility is a half-mile oval racetrack located in Mansfield, Ohio, United States. Featuring moderately high banks and a wide racing surface, it is suitable for close racing and passing. The track hosts an ARCA RE/MAX Series race in 2009.
