Elizabeth City is a city in Pasquotank County and Camden County in the State of North Carolina. With a population of 18,683 at the 2010 census, Elizabeth City is the county seat of Pasquotank County.
Northeastern High School (North Carolina)
Northeastern High School (often abbreviated NHS) is a public school located in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, in the United States. It was founded in 1969, replacing Elizabeth City High School, P.W. Moore High School, and Central High School. Northeastern's mascot is the Eagle. Its school colors are green and gold. It is one of two high schools in Pasquotank County; the other is Pasquotank County High School.
College of The Albemarle

WCNC (AM)
WCNC is a radio station broadcasting a classic country format. The station is licensed to serve the community of Elizabeth City, North Carolina and is owned by East Carolina Radio. During the 1960s, 1970s, and early 1980s, this station was adult contemporary. In 1984, owner Joe Lamb sold the station to former DJ Hunt Thomas, who flipped it to Oldies. The oldies format was not successful, and in 1988, Thomas was forced to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and WCNC had to sign off.
Grice-Fearing House
The Grice-Fearing House is the oldest house (ca. 1798) in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, located at 200 South Road Street. It is a contributing property in the Shepard Street-South Road Street Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house was originally built for Francis Grice. After his death, his widow Mary married Isaiah Fearing, thus providing the house with its name. The house is now operated as a two-suite bed and breakfast.

North Carolina Potato Festival is an annual tradition in Northeastern North Carolina that celebrates one of the region's most important crops. Originally known as the Albemarle Potato Festival, which ran from 1940 through 1970, the once-prominent event was revived in 2001 as the North Carolina Potato Festival. Celebrated annually around mid-May, the festival has returned to its historical prominence as one of the largest regional draws in northeastern North Carolina.
