WCCB
WCCB is the Fox-affiliated television station in Charlotte, North Carolina. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 27 from a transmitter in Newell, an unincorporated area of Mecklenburg County just northeast of the Charlotte city limits. As the flagship station of owner Bahakel Communications, WCCB maintains studios just outside Uptown, off Independence Boulevard across from Bojangles' Coliseum.
Charlotte Motor Speedway
Charlotte Motor Speedway is a motorsports complex located in Concord, North Carolina, United States 13 miles from Charlotte, North Carolina. The complex features a 1.5 miles quad oval track that hosts NASCAR racing including the prestigious Coca-Cola 600 on Memorial Day weekend and the Sprint All-Star Race, as well as the Bank of America 500. The speedway was built in 1959 by Bruton Smith and is considered the home track for NASCAR with many race teams located in the Charlotte area.

Barnhardt Student Activity Center (commonly shortened to Halton Arena) is an indoor sports venue located on the main campus of UNC Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Cyrillic Projector is a sculpture created by American artist Jim Sanborn in the early 1990s, and was purchased by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1997. It is currently installed between the campus' Friday and Fretwell Buildings.
Irwin Belk Track and Field Center/Transamerica Field
The Irwin Belk Track and Field Center/Transamerica Field is a stadium located on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Finished in 1996, the stadium is home to the 49ers soccer and track and field teams. The facility includes the Southeast's first 8 lane continuous radius track with full-depth polyurethane surface; and 10,500 square feet of internal space including coaches offices, locker rooms and a hospitality suite in the North Pavilion.

WFAE is a National Public Radio station in Charlotte, North Carolina broadcasting at 90.7 MHz on the FM dial. The station went on the air on June 29, 1981 on 90.9 FM as a service of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, taking over from a student-run carrier current station that had begun operation in the mid-1970s. It operated from the basement of the Cone University Center. In addition to NPR programs, it aired jazz during the day and classical music at night.

The Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre is an outdoor amphitheater in Charlotte, North Carolina that specializes in hosting large concerts. The facility originally opened as the Blockbuster Pavilion in 1991 and largely replaced the Paladium Amphitheater at Carowinds as the premier outdoor concert venue in the Metrolina region. It was renamed on February 8, 2001. The amphitheater is located on Pavilion Boulevard in the University City neighborhood near the US 29/I-485 (Outerbelt) interchange.

The Derita Community is located several miles north of Charlotte NC's center city, is bordered by I-77 to the west, I-85 to the east, the University area and WT Harris Blvd to the north. Its business district is centered along West Sugar Creek Rd. There are indoor and outdoor picnic facilities, extensive benches, playgrounds, a disc golf course, a dog park, a community garden, several ponds, and a lakeside fishing pier.
