Greensboro Listen/ˈɡriːnzbʌroʊ/ is a city in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It is the third-largest city by population in North Carolina and the largest city in Guilford County and the surrounding Piedmont Triad metropolitan region. According to the 2011 U.S. Census Estimate, Greensboro's population is 273,425. The city is located at the intersection of two major interstate highways in the Piedmont region of central North Carolina.

Battle of Guilford Court House

The Battle of Guilford Court House was a battle fought on March 15, 1781 in Greensboro, the county seat of Guilford County, North Carolina, during the American Revolutionary War. A 1,900-man British force under the command of Lieutenant General Charles Cornwallis defeated Major General Nathanael Greene's 4,000 Americans. Despite the relatively small numbers of troops involved, the battle is considered pivotal to the American victory in the Revolution.

NewBridge Bank Park

NewBridge Bank Park is a minor league baseball park opened in Spring 2005 by the Greensboro Grasshoppers, the Class A affiliate of the Miami Marlins, of the South Atlantic League. Guilford Court House, North Carolina

Guilford Court House, North Carolina, was the county seat of Guilford County before being replaced by Greensboro in 1808.
