Fallsburg is a town in Sullivan County, New York, United States. The town is in the eastern part of the county. The population was 12,870 at the 2010 census. The town takes its name from a waterfall on the Neversink River. This town is the very heart of a once popular predominately Jewish summer resort area known as the Catskills Borscht Belt.

Concord Resort Hotel

The Concord Resort Hotel (pronounced kahn-CORD) was a world-famous destination for visitors to the so-called Borscht Belt part of the Catskills, known for its large resort industry in the 1950s, '60s, and '70s. Located in Kiamesha Lake, New York, the Concord was the largest resort in the region until its closing in 1998. There were over 1,500 guest rooms and a dining room that sat 3,000; the resort encompassed some 2,000 acres .

During the 2006-2007 academic year, it had 181 students, a decrease from 191 during the previous year. As an Orthodox rabbinical college, all students are male. Known colloquially as "Fallsburg", its students come from all over the United States, Europe and Israel.

South Fallsburg Hebrew Association Synagogue

The South Fallsburg Hebrew Association Synagogue is located on North Street in the hamlet of South Fallsburg, New York, United States. Built in 1902, it underwent a major expansion in 1919 that included being raised a story. It is one of the oldest synagogues in Sullivan County, and has played a central role the region's Jewish community, with some notable Jews having been members of the congregation. It is officially Orthodox, but welcomes all Jews regardless of their level of observance.
