Richmondtown, is a neighborhood on Staten Island in New York City, New York, in the United States. Originally known as Coccles Town (sometimes misreckoned as Cuckolds Town) because of the abundance of oyster and clam shells found in the waters of the nearby Fresh Kills, Richmondtown gained its present name in 1728 when the village now preserved as Historic Richmond Town was founded.

The north end has an overpass bridge with two exits, one to Oak Avenue on northbound platform side, and the other to Cedarview Avenue the southbound platform side. This station is used frequently by students of the nearby Monsignor Farrell High School.

New Dorp is a Staten Island Railway station in the neighborhood of New Dorp, Staten Island, New York. It is located on an open cut at New Dorp Lane and Railroad Avenue on the main line. It has two side platforms and orange colored walls and railings. The northbound platform has a 20-foot high concrete wall, while the sountbound platform has a hill. The north exit leads to New Dorp Lane where the stationhouse is located, while the south exit leads to Rose Avenue.

Rose and Crown Tavern
General William Howe was billeted with his aides-de-camp in this farmhouse and tavern at New Dorp, Staten Island, in 1776, when 30,000 British and Hessian soldiers were encamped on the island awaiting orders to invade New York City (at the time limited to the southern part of Manhattan Island) via Long Island by crossing the Narrows. The general was known to have read the Declaration of Independence to his troops at this tavern.
