Verrazano-Narrows Bridge
The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge is a double-decked suspension bridge that connects the boroughs of Staten Island and Brooklyn in New York City at the Narrows, the reach connecting the relatively protected upper bay with the larger lower bay. The bridge is named for both the Florentine explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano, the first known European navigator in the service of the King Francis I of France to enter New York Harbor and the Hudson River, and for the body of water it spans: the Narrows.

Fort Wadsworth
Fort Wadsworth is a former United States military installation on Staten Island in New York City, situated on The Narrows which divide New York Bay into Upper and Lower halves, a natural point for defense of the Upper Bay and Manhattan beyond. Prior to closing in 1994 it claimed to be the longest continually manned military installation in the United States. Fort Wadsworth is part of the Staten Island Unit of the Gateway National Recreation Area that is maintained by the National Park Service.
St. Joseph Hill Academy
St. Joseph Hill High School is a private all-girls school in the Arrochar neighborhood of Staten Island, New York. Located on a scenic 14-acre campus (which eponymously stands atop a hill, providing views of the Manhattan skyline), the school serves approximately 400 young women in the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades and is accompanied by a coeducational wing for students in pre-K through 8th.
Fort Tompkins Light
Fort Tompkins Light was a lighthouse located on Staten Island, New York City, on the west side of the Narrows in New York Bay. The lighthouse was established by Fort Tompkins Military Base in 1828 to guide ships to Staten Island. The lighthouse did not keep records due to its close proximity to land. Consequently, very little record survives beyond those kept by the lighthouse board. The Board archives illustrate the precarious location of the lighthouse.
Flagstaff Fort
A Patriot Redoubt built in June 1776, located on Signal Hill at the narrows on Staten Island. Site of an earlier 1663 blockhouse by De Vries (not named or listed). Taken by the British in 1776 and by July 1779 a redoubt with gun platforms for 26 cannon were built. In 1782 had five bastions. Evacuated 1783. Later the site of Fort Tompkins in 1806, that along with others grew into Fort Wadsworth.

National American Indian Memorial
The National American Indian Memorial was a proposed monument to American Indians to be erected on a bluff overlooking the Narrows, the main entrance to New York Harbor. The major part of the memorial was to be a 165-foot-tall statue of a representative American Indian warrior atop a substantial foundation building housing a museum of native cultures, similar in scale to the Statue of Liberty several miles to the north.
Fort Wadsworth Light
Fort Wadsworth Light is a 1903 lighthouse built atop Battery Weed on Staten Island in New York Harbor. The light illuminates the Narrows, the entrance to the harbor. It is located under the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. Fort Wadsworth Light was part of the transfer of Fort Wadsworth from the Navy to the National Park Service in March 1995 as part of Gateway National Recreation Area. Its light was visible for 14 nautical miles . The lantern was possibly moved from Fort Tompkins Light in 1903.
Beachland Amusements
Beachland Amusements, colloquially known as The South Beach Rides, was an arcade and kiddie park that operated in Staten Island, New York from 1941-2006. Originally located on the South Beach Boardwalk, it moved to its most recent location on Sand Lane in 1953 after the City of New York banned commercial businesses from operating on the boardwalk. In November 2011 it was announced that this location would become a Key Food supermarket.

Robin Road Trestle
The Robin Road Trestle is a former railway bridge that spans Robin Road in the New York City borough of Staten Island's South Beach neighborhood, USA. Built in 1936, it was once part of the Staten Island Railway's former South Beach line which ceased operation in 1953. It is currently the only remaining intact trestle along the former line.
