Yeshiva of Far Rockaway

Yeshiva of Far Rockaway (also known as Yeshiva Derech Ayson and Derech Ayson Rabbinical Seminary) is a Haredi yeshiva located on 802 Hicksville Road, Far Rockaway, Queens in New York City. It comprises a high school and beis medrash, or seminary. The school was founded by the current rosh yeshiva, Rabbi Yechiel Yitzchok Perr, and by the late Rabbi Nachman Bulman. It is reputed for its intensive Talmudic studies, and for the rosh yeshiva's musar lectures in the Novardok tradition.

Far Rockaway (sometimes referred to as Far Rockaway—Nameoke Street) is the terminus of the Long Island Rail Road's Far Rockaway Branch in the Far Rockaway neighborhood of Queens in New York City. The station is located at Nameoke Street and Redfern Avenue, and is 23.0 miles (37 km) from Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan, and mean travel time is 56 minutes, although most off-peak trains require a transfer for service to Penn Station.

Atlantic Beach Bridge

The Atlantic Beach Bridge is a 153-foot long toll drawbridge connecting Lawrence and Atlantic Beach (Park Street), NY while passing over the west end of Reynolds Channel. The bridge also provides direct access to the Rockaway Peninsula via Seagirt Boulevard. The toll is $2.00 in each direction as of January 1, 2007. E-ZPass is not accepted. An annual decal for Nassau County residents is $130.00 USD.

Cornell Family Cemetery

The Cornell Family Cemetery is located on Gateway Boulevard (formerly Greenport Road and Greenwood Avenue) according to NYC Parks Department the Cornell Burial Ground is on the west side of Caffrey Avenue north of New Haven Avenue in Far Rockaway, Queens in New York City. The cemetery contains the remains of descendants of Richard Cornell, generally considered the first settler of European descent to homestead in Rockaway.

East Rockaway Inlet

The East Rockaway Inlet is an arm of the Atlantic Ocean which separates the Rockaway Peninsula from the barrier island which includes the Nassau County, New York communities of Atlantic Beach, Long Beach and Lido Beach. According to a plaque in Long Beach, NY, the original inlet was through Long Beach directly opposite East Rockaway, NY, hence the name.
