Blue Sky Mausoleum, in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, New York, is the recent completion of a 1928 design by Frank Lloyd Wright as a commercial cemetery project. H.H. Richardson Complex is a recently-coined name for the Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane, a large Medina red sandstone and brick hospital that stands on the grounds of the present day Buffalo Psychiatric Center in Buffalo, New York. The official name for the complex (at least technically so) remains as the Buffalo Psychiatric Center (originally Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane, and, later, known as Buffalo State Hospital). It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1986.

Temple of Music

The Temple of Music was a concert hall and auditorium built for the Pan-American Exposition which was held in Buffalo, New York, in 1901. U.S. President William McKinley was assassinated inside the building on September 6, 1901. The structure, like most of the other buildings at the exposition, was demolished when the fair ended.

The Administration Building of the Buffalo Psychiatric Center is the central building of the H. H. Richardson Complex in Buffalo, New York. The administration building has monumental, medieval, double, identical towers (each 185 feet tall), each with four corner turrets and dramatically steep copper roofs punctuated with dormered windows, all of which gave the administration building an imposing appearance.

Edward Austin Kent

Edward Austin Kent (February 19, 1854 – April 15, 1912) was a prominent architect in Buffalo, New York. Born in Bangor, Maine, Kent moved with his family to Buffalo after the Civil War, where his father opened a successful department store, Flint & Kent. Kent was educated at Yale and then at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Returning to the U.S. in 1877, he became junior partner in the Syracuse, New York firm of Sillsbee and Kent.
