Saint Peter's University
Saint Peter's University (formerly Saint Peter's College) is a private, coeducational Roman Catholic college in the United States. Located in Jersey City, New Jersey, it was founded in 1872 by the Society of Jesus. Today, Saint Peter's is one of 28 member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. Saint Peter's University offers over 33 majors to more than 3,200 undergraduate and 500 graduate students.
Port Authority Trans-Hudson
Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH), is a rapid transit railroad serving Newark, Harrison, Hoboken and Jersey City in metropolitan northern New Jersey and Manhattan in New York City. It is operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. PATH trains run 24 hours a day. The system has a route length of 13.8 miles, not including any route overlap. Stanley Theater (Jersey City)
The Stanley Theater is a theater venue near Journal Square in Jersey City, New Jersey. The theater opened to the public on March 24, 1928. Mayor Frank Hague attended the ceremonies that evening and, with the audience, was greeted on the screen by actress Norma Talmadge. An orchestral performance, a stage show called "Sky Blues," a newsreel, and a musical piece on the Wurlitzer organ, preceded the showing of The Dove starring Talmadge and Gilbert Roland.
Loew's Jersey Theatre
The Loew's Jersey Theatre is a New Jersey Registered Historic Site in Jersey City, New Jersey of the United States of America. Opened in 1929, it was one of the five Loew's Wonder Theatres, a series of flagship Loew's movie palaces in the New York City area. It was designed by the architectural firm of Rapp and Rapp in a Baroque/Rococo style. Tri-plexed in 1974, and then closed in 1986, it was dark for years.

Journal Square

Five Corners, Jersey City
Five Corners is at the intersection of Summit Avenue, Newark Avenue and Hoboken Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey and is a northeastern part of the larger Journal Square district. The name is often used to refer to the neighborhood radiating from the crossing, just south of Bergen Arches and The Divided Highway.
Englewood Cliffs College

Bergen Square

A commercial residential area, it contains an eclectic array of architectural styles including 19th-century row houses, Art Deco retail and office buildings, and is the site of the longest continually-used school site in the United States.
26 Journal Square
26 Journal Square is a 55 m high-rise in Jersey City, New Jersey. It was originally known as the Labor Bank Building. It was completed in 1928 and has 15 floors. It is the 23rd tallest building in the city. It is often considered the first skyscraper in Jersey City. The Beaux Arts building was designed by John T. Rowland. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The building was originally headquarters of the Labor National Bank.
1 Journal Square
1 Journal Square is an approved apartment complex at Journal Square in Jersey City, New Jersey. It will consist of two skyscrapers that will have 1,615 units on top a 7 story base with 70,000 square feet of retail space and 680 parking spaces. The buildings were designed by Becker + Becker Associates and are being developed by Harwood Properties. Though scheduled to be completed in 2010, as of July 2011 construction had not begun.
Boyle's Thirty Acres
Boyle's Thirty Acres was a large wooden bowl arena in Jersey City, New Jersey. It was built specifically for the world heavyweight championship bout between Jack Dempsey of the United States and Georges Carpentier of France on July 2, 1921. It held approximately 80,000 fans and was built at a cost of $250,000. It was situated around Montgomery Street and Cornelison Avenue, on a plot of marshland owned by John P. Boyle.

McGinley Square
McGinley Square is in Jersey City, New Jersey, located near the middle of the city, south of Journal Square. The square itself is at the intersection of two of the city's major thoroughfares, Montgomery Street, and Bergen Avenue. The area was named after Monsignor Roger McGinley, the builder of St. Aedans Church. Hudson Catholic Regional High School, the Jersey City Armory, the Jersey City YMCA, St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church, and Bergen Square are all within a short walk from the square.
Speer Cemetery
Speer Cemetery is located on Vroom Street near Bergen Square in Jersey City, New Jersey. Slightly over one acre, the burial ground had been used by the De Mott family, early settlers to Bergen, New Netherland from the 1660s. Although it has been called the "oldest cemetery of European settlers in New Jersey," it is contemporary to that of the nearby Old Bergen Church. The earliest surviving gravemarker in the cemetery is dated 1756.
Jersey City Armory
The Jersey City Armory is located at 678 Montgomery Street near McGinley Square in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA. In addition to being a military training and mustering facility of the New Jersey National Guard (New Jersey National Guard 2–133 Infantry 250 Jersey City), the WPA era armory has long been used as a sports arena, particularly for boxing, basketball, and track and field events, and more recently mixed martial arts.
Hilltop, Jersey City
The Hilltop is the eastern section of the Journal Square district of Jersey City, New Jersey. The name is a reflection of its location atop Bergen Hill, the southern portion of the Hudson Palisades, on either side of the cut, or excavated ravine, through which the Port Authority Trans Hudson rapid transit system travels, offering some streets views of Downtown Jersey City, the New York Skyline, and the Upper New York Bay. The northern part of Hilltop is located to the east of Five Corners.
Bergen Section, Jersey City
The Bergen Section of Jersey City, New Jersey is the neighborhood on either side of Kennedy Boulevard between Saint Peter's College/ McGinley Square and Communipaw Avenue in the Bergen-Lafayette section of the city. The name Bergen, used throughout Hudson County, is taken from the original Bergen, New Netherland settlement at Bergen Square. While there was discussion of building a county long road as early as the 1870s, the Boulevard was officially opened in 1896.
