The Malden River is a 2.3-mile-long river in Malden, Medford, and Everett, Massachusetts. It is roughly 675 feet wide at its widest point and is very narrow at its smallest point. Its banks are largely occupied by industrial business, and the river is scarcely used or even mentioned. Its water quality is worse than most local waters, including the Mystic River, into which it flows. Most agree that the river is under-utilized.

Haymarket North Extension

The Haymarket North Extension is an underground crossing of the Charles River which carries the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's Orange Line. The term is also applied to the rerouting of the northern section of the Orange Line, which opened in 4 stages starting on April 7, 1975 and concluding on March 20, 1977. The rerouting moved the north end of the Orange line into a new tunnel under the Charles, then along the Haverhill Line right-of-way to Oak Grove.

Assembly Square is the site of a mixed-use, smart growth development under construction on 66.5 acres along the Mystic River in Somerville, Massachusetts. The site, named for the Ford Motor Company auto assembly plant that operated here until 1958, is two miles (3 km) from downtown Boston and accessible via I-93 and Route 28/Middlesex Fells Parkway. The property owner and lead developer is Federal Realty Investment Trust (FRT).

Assembly Square (MBTA station)

Assembly Square (to be signed as Assembly) is an under-construction station on the MBTA's Orange Line. It is being built alongside the planned Assembly Square project (which is also located right next to the Assembly Square Marketplace). The station is an "infill stop", since Orange Line trains currently pass frequently on existing tracks through the site.
