Veazie, Maine
Veazie is a town in Penobscot County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,919 at the 2010 census. The town is named after General Samuel Veazie, an early lumber baron and railroad operator. Veazie was originally part of Bangor, using Penobscot River water power to operate sawmills. It became a separate town in 1853 because Gen. Veazie, its wealthiest citizen, thought Bangor's property taxes were too high.

Penobscot Valley Country Club
Penobscot Valley Country Club is a golf course in Orono, Maine designed by Donald Ross in 1924. The 18 hole par 72, was recently restored in 2008 by Harris Golf, and a brand new clubhouse was built in 2001. The club has played host to many regional amateur tournaments, and in 2009 hosted the North Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Championship.

Eastern Maine Community College (EMCC) is a community college in Bangor, Maine. It offers over 30 one- and two-year degree programs. Eastern Maine was established in 1966 by act of the Maine Legislature, as Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute (EMVTI).
