South Portland, Maine
South Portland is a city in Cumberland County, Maine, United States, and is the fourth-largest city in the state. Founded in 1895, as of the 2010 census, the city population was 25,002. Known for its working waterfront, South Portland is situated on Portland Harbor and overlooks the skyline of Portland and the islands of Casco Bay. Due to South Portland's close proximity to air, marine, rail, and highway transportation options, the city has become a center for retail and industry in the region.
Portland International Jetport
Portland International Jetport is a public airport located two miles (3 km) west of the central business district of Portland, in Cumberland County, Maine, United States. It is owned by the city of Portland. A significant portion of the Jetport, including the main runway, is located in the neighboring city of South Portland. This regional airport serves much of Maine and is the busiest airport in the state.
Skillin Elementary School
Skillin Elementary School is an elementary school (grades K–5) in South Portland, Maine. As of 2005 it has over 380 students. The school is named for Dr. Waldo T. Skillin, a South Portland physician. The school accepts English as a Second Language students from across the city, and has special education programs for K–7 autistic children and K–2 emotionally disabled students.

Portland Transportation Center is a bus and train station in Portland, Maine, served and run primarily by Concord Coach Lines (18 round-trips a day) and Amtrak Downeaster passenger trains (five round-trips a day). It is also served by Megabus (via Concord Coach Lines), as well as the Greater Portland Metro Bus Route 5. The station is open from 4:30 AM to 12:15 AM and from 2:45 AM to 3:15 AM.
Cumberland County Jail
The Cumberland County Jail is located in Portland, Maine, and is the largest jail in the state. The jail's governing body is Cumberland County, in which the county Sheriff's office oversees the daily operations. In 2002 it became the first jail in the state of Maine to receive national accreditation from the American Correctional Association, at the time putting it among only 4% of adult correctional facilities in the USA to have been so accredited.

Western Cemetery (Portland, Maine)
The Western Cemetery is an urban cemetery in Portland, Maine. At one time Portland's home for the "poor and indigent", the cemetery is named after for its location in Portland's West End neighborhood and proximity to the Western Promenade. Founded in the 18th century, the land was acquired by the city in 1829. In 1841, the city expanded the cemetery to its present 12 acres .
Forest City Cemetery
Forest City Cemetery is a 97-acre cemetery in South Portland, Maine, owned and operated by the adjacent city of Portland. There are approximately 30,000 burials in the cemetery. Forest City's burial records are kept at Evergreen Cemetery in Portland. As of 1870, the cemetery had 24 burials of American Civil War veterans. When the land was purchased in 1858, it cost the city $50,000. The first plot was established later that year.
