Casa de Oro-Mount Helix, California

Casa de Oro-Mount Helix is a census-designated place (CDP) in San Diego County, California. The CDP encompasses several neighborhoods in unincorporated parts of the county near the cities of El Cajon and La Mesa as well as part of the unincorporated community of Spring Valley. The CDP gets its name from the neighborhood of Casa de Oro, which straddles the line between Spring Valley and unincorporated El Cajon, and Mount Helix, a prominent hill in La Mesa.

Opened in 1957, Mount Miguel is the fourth of twelve high schools constructed in the Grossmont Union High School District. MMHS is the home of the Matadors. Opened in 1961, Monte Vista is the seventh of twelve high schools built in the Grossmont Union High School District. Liberty Charter High School (La Mesa, California)

Liberty Charter High School opened to freshman students in August 2008 and added a new class each school year. It is the first start-up charter school in San Diego County and will eventually hold over 450 students. A new campus was scheduled to be constructed in Santee, California, but after the recession started, the campus construction was put on hold due to lack of financing. During the 2009-2010 school year, Liberty was on the campus of its parent school, Literacy First Charter School.

McMillan Academy of Law

The McMillan Academy of Law (MAOL) is a private law school located in La Mesa, California. The school is licensed by the State of California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. MAOL is an unaccredited law school registered with the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California. Spring Street (San Diego Trolley station)

Spring Street is a station of the Orange Line on the San Diego Trolley. It is located in the suburb of La Mesa, California and serves both nearby residences and a commuter park and ride location. This station is currently undergoing renovation as part of the Trolley Renewal Project. The station will remain open, although riders may be asked to exit doors on the side opposite the platforms.
