Barry Town F.C

Barry Town FC (Welsh: Clwb Pêl Droed Tref Y Barri) is an association football team based in Barry. They are best known for dominating the Welsh Premier League during the 1990s and early 2000s (decade), but finished bottom in 2003–04 and were relegated. The team is now funded by supporters, independent of the parent company Barry Town AFC Ltd. They play at Jenner Park, Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, where their ground accommodates 3,000 spectators (2,000 seated).

Barry Tourist Railway

The Barry Tourist Railway (formerly the Barry Island Railway) is a railway developed to attract visitors to Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. It is a key element of the Barry Rail Centre which also includes engineering and training facilities. An unusual aspect of the railway is that for several hundred yards across from Barry to Barry Island the trackbed used is directly alongside the Network Rail track which uses the original up line, with the Barry Tourist Railway using the down.

Barry Island railway station

Barry Island railway station is a railway station, 9¼ miles (15 km) south-west of Cardiff Central, serving Barry Island (Welsh: Ynys y Barri) in South Wales. The station has been the terminus – and only remaining active station – of the Barry Island branch of the Vale of Glamorgan Line since the closure of Barry Pier station in 1976. Passenger services, operated by Arriva Trains Wales as part of the Valley Lines network, currently use the first half of platform 1.

Barry Docks Railway Station is one of three railway stations serving the town of Barry, South Wales. More centrally located than Barry station, it is located on the Vale of Glamorgan Line from 7+⁄4 miles south of Cardiff Central towards Bridgend and Barry Island. Barry Pier railway station was a railway station in Barry Island, in Wales. It was the terminus of the Barry Island branch line, was authorised in 1896 and opened on 27th June 1899 when the line was extended from Barry Island railway station. Goldsland is a small hamlet and farm in the Vale of Glamorgan in south Wales. It is located near the boundary of the Wenvoe Castle Golf Club in the parish of Wenvoe. It lies to the east of Dyffryn and south of St Lythans and the road leading from the west passes through the farms of Old and New Wallace. Goldsland Brook flows through here. A sub-manor was reportedly held at Goldsland by a Mathew of Llandaff under the manor of Wenvoe in 1583.
