Monmouth (UK Parliament constituency)
Monmouth is a county constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post of election. The constituency was created for the 1918 general election. Since 2005 the MP has been David Davies of the Conservative Party. The Monmouth Welsh Assembly constituency, created in 1999, has normally the same boundaries as the Westminster constituency.
The Hendre
The Hendre (a farmer's winter residence; literally meaning old home) is Monmouthshire's only full-scale Victorian country house, constructed in the Victorian Gothic style. It is located in the parish of Llangattock-Vibon-Avel, some 4 miles north-west of the town of Monmouth.
Monmouthshire (UK Parliament constituency)
Monmouthshire was a county constituency of the House of Commons of Parliament of England from 1536 until 1707, of the Parliament of Great Britain from 1707 to 1801, and of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1801 to 1885. It elected two Members of Parliament (MPs). In 1885 the Monmouthshire constituency was divided to create North Monmouthshire, South Monmouthshire and West Monmouthshire.

Dingestow railway station
Dingestow Station was a station on the Coleford, Monmouth, Usk and Pontypool Railway. It was built in 1857 as part of the construction of the line and was located 3 miles and 32 chains from Monmouth Troy. It was intended to serve the nearby village of Dingestow. It was closed in May 1955 when, due to a drivers' strike, the line was closed early. It was to have been closed in June but because of the strike the last service was on 28 May when the national strike began.
Grace Dieu Abbey, Monmouth
Grace Dieu Abbey was a small Cistercian abbey established in 1226 near to the town of Monmouth in south east Wales. No remains of its buildings can now be seen above ground. It was originally located on the west bank of the River Trothy, in remote countryside about 2 miles north of the village of Dingestow, but relocated on at least one occasion after being attacked by the Welsh.
Treowen
Treowen (or Tre-owen) is an early 17th century house in Monmouthshire, Wales, regarded as "the most important early C17 gentry house in the county". It is located in open countryside within the parish of Wonastow, about ½ mile (1 km) north-east of the village of Dingestow, and 3 miles south-west of Monmouth. It is a Grade I listed building, and, after being used as a farmhouse for three centuries, is now a conference and functions venue.
Dingestow Court
Dingestow Court, in Dingestow, Monmouthshire, Wales, is a Victorian country house with earlier origins and later additions. Newman describes it as "one of the county's major houses. " The court is a Grade II* listed building as of 5 January 1952. The court has an "unusually complicated building history. " Its origins are the early sixteenth century house of the Jones family. In the late eighteenth century it was rebuilt and was then acquired by Samuel Bosanquet in 1801.
