Roath
Roath is a district in the east/north-east of the city of Cardiff, capital of Wales. It lies just east/north east of the city centre, stretching from Adamsdown in the south to Roath Park in the north. Roath contains the Plasnewydd electoral ward. Its main shopping streets are Albany Road, City Road, and Wellfield Road. The area is characterised by its several tree-lined avenues and Victorian era terraced streets.

Cardiff Queen Street railway station (Welsh: Caerdydd Heol y Frenhines) is Wales' second busiest railway station in Cardiff, Wales. It is one of 20 stations in the city and two in the city centre, the other being Cardiff Central. The station is staffed at most times, with ticket purchase facilities, a newsagent in the forecourt and a café.

Motorpoint Arena Cardiff

New Theatre, Cardiff
The New Theatre is one of the principal theatres in Cardiff, capital city of Wales, and celebrated its centenary in 2006. It is located in Cardiff city centre on Park Place, close to Cathays Park. The Gate Arts Centre

Park House, Cardiff
Park House, formerly known as McConnochie House, is a town house in Cardiff. It was built for James McConnochie, Chief Engineer to the Bute Docks, by the Gothic revivalist architect William Burges. It is a Grade I listed building. "By its powerful early French Gothic style, its steep roofs and boldly textured walls (the house) revolutionized Cardiff's domestic architecture.

The Metropolitan Cathedral Church of St David, also known as St David's Cathedral Cardiff is a Roman Catholic cathedral in the city centre of Cardiff, Wales and is the centre of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cardiff. Located in Charles Street, the Cathedral remains the focal point for Catholic life in Cardiff, and the country as a whole. It is one of only three Roman Catholic Cathedrals in the UK which is associated with a choir school.

Mansion House, Cardiff
The Mansion House, located on Richmond Road, is the official residence of the Lord Mayor of Cardiff. Habershon & Fawckner designed the Mansion House and it was built in 1896 for James Howell, owner of Howells department store. It was then known then as 'The Grove'. James Howell was a Cardiff businessman who opened his first shop in 1865. In 1890 he made arrangements to build a property on land leased from Lord Tredegar. The plans were for a large family home, to house his 11 children.
The Hayes
The Hayes is a commercial area in the southern city centre of the Welsh capital, Cardiff. Based around the road of that name leading south towards the east end of the city centre, the area is mostly pedestrianised featuring an open-air snack bar. Historically, the area's most prestigious building is the Old Library, known as the Cardiff Free Library, Museum and Schools for Science and Art during its near-century (1882 to 1988) of use as the second incarnation of the city's central library.

2 Glynrhondda Street in Cathays, Cardiff is accepted as the first mosque in the United Kingdom. The masjid was founded by Yemeni and Somali sailors on their trips between Aden and Cardiff Docks, and recorded by the Register of Religious Sites (now maintained by the Office of National Statistics), as a registered place of worship from 1860. It is still a registered and working mosque today under the title of the “Al-Manar Islamic & Cultural Centre”.

Altolusso is a residential skyscraper in Cardiff, Wales. The building is 72 metres (232 ft) high and has 23 floors. The tower was the tallest residential building in Wales upon its completion in 2005, and remains one of the tallest buildings in Cardiff and in Wales. The Y-shaped building contains 292 luxury one to three bedroom apartments with views across the city. A three storey car park allocated to the property.
Tŷ Pont Haearn
Tŷ Pont Haearn is a tall residential building in Cardiff, Wales. It has been commercially rebranded by Liberty Living as "Liberty Bridge" in an effort to de-Welshify the area. The 21-storey building comprises 17 floors of 144 student flats on top of a four storey public car park. Tŷ Pont Haearn is the joint-fifth tallest building in Cardiff.

Helmont House
Helmont House is a high-rise hotel and office tower in Cardiff, Wales. Completed in 1984, the 58 metres high building has 12 floors and is the tenth tallest building in Cardiff. The building was renovated in 2009 into a 200-room Premier Inn hotel. The building was previously owned by British Gas and was one of the largest office buildings in Cardiff, and is yards away from Cardiff Queen Street railway station.
Cardiff School of Physics and Astronomy
Cardiff School of Physics and Astronomy is part of Cardiff University, a member of the Russell Group of Universities. The School is based at the Queen's Buildings complex of Cardiff University, on The Parade, Cardiff, close to the city centre. The School was first established in 1883. The school offers undergraduate (BSc) and postgraduate (PhD, MPhil, MSc) degrees in the subjects of Physics and Astronomy. The School has a total of about 300 undergraduate and 60 postgraduate students.
