The Welsh National Temple of Peace and Health, as known as the Temple of Peace, is a non-religious civic building in the civic centre of Cardiff, Wales, in the United Kingdom. It was designed by the architect Sir Percy Thomas.
Cathays railway station
Cathays railway station is a station lying on the Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda lines in the Cathays district of Cardiff, Wales. The station is 1¼ miles (2 km) north of Cardiff Central. The station is located next to Cardiff University Students' Union and a short walk from the Welsh Government and other Civic buildings in Cathays Park. The footbridge over the railway is much used as a shortcut between Park Place and Senghenydd Road.
Bute Park
Bute Park is the principal park of the city of Cardiff, capital of Wales. It is 130 acres of landscaped gardens and parkland that once formed the grounds of Cardiff Castle. The park is named after the 3rd Marquess of Bute, whose family resided in the castle. The Castle Green was landscaped in the late eighteenth century by Capability Brown, but the park itself was laid out from 1873 on by Andrew Pettigrew, Head Gardener to the 3rd Marquess.

Cardiff University School of Medicine (Welsh: Ysgol Feddygaeth Prifysgol Caerdydd) The School of Medicine at Cardiff is one of the largest in the UK, employing nearly 500 academic and 300 support staff. Over 1000 undergraduate and 1100 postgraduate students are currently enrolled on medical and science courses, and the School has an annual financial turnover of over £50 million, of which nearly half comes from competitive external research funding.
Xpress Radio
Xpress Radio is a national award-winning student radio station based at Cardiff University in Cardiff, Wales, focused on current, popular and new music. The station broadcasts from 9am–1am daily, with programming ranging from comedy to film reviews, to the best in new and local music. Xpress is run by students at the university. It operates from a studio and editing suite on the fourth floor of the Students' Union building. The current station manager of Xpress is Hannah Cook.
Roath Park
Roath Park (Welsh: Parc y Rhath) Cardiff, Wales, is one of Cardiff's most popular parks, owned by Cardiff County Council and managed by the Parks Section. Llys Talybont Halls of Residence
Llys Talybont Halls of Residence otherwise known simply as "Talybont" are the largest halls of residence in Cardiff, located in Maindy. It is owned by Cardiff University and operated by the Residences and Catering Division. Talybont is inhabited predominantly by first year undergraduate students. The halls of residence are separated into three different areas: Talybont North, Talybont South and Talybont Court. All of the accommodation is en suite.
University Hospital of Wales
University Hospital of Wales (referred to locally as "the Heath" or UHW), opened in November 1971, is a major 1000-bed hospital situated in the Heath district of Cardiff, Wales. UHW is the third largest University Hospital in the UK and the largest hospital in Wales, providing 24-hour Accident & Emergency and various other specialist departments. The hospital is split into 3 blocks (A, B and C Block). It is also a teaching hospital of Cardiff University School of Medicine.
Cardiff University Students' Union
Cardiff University Students' Union (Undeb Myfyrwyr Prifysgol Caerdydd in Welsh) is the students' union for Cardiff University and the largest in Wales, and, like most other students' unions, aims to promote the interests of its students. It is located in Cathays, Cardiff, spanning between Senghennydd Road on the north-east side and Park Place on the south-west side.
All Nations Centre
The All Nations Centre is a large multi-purpose modern building located in the Gabalfa district of North Cardiff in Wales. It is often a venue for international religious festivals and musical performances. It is regularly rented out by Kiros Ventures Ltd and All Nations Church meet there on Sunday mornings where there is a Christian church service.

Cathays (electoral ward)
The Cathays electoral ward of Cardiff consists of some or all of the following areas: Blackweir, Cardiff city centre, Cathays, Cathays Park and Maindy in the parliamentary constituency of Cardiff Central. It is bounded by Gabalfa and Birchgrove to the north; Plasnewydd and Adamsdown to the east; Butetown to the south; and Riverside to the west.
Maindy Centre
Maindy Centre, which was formerly known as Maindy Stadium, now also known as Maindy Pool and Cycle Track, includes a cycle track and indoor swimming pool facility in the Maindy area of Cardiff, Wales. The cycle track was used in the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games and the swimming pool was opened in 1993.
Crown Buildings, Cathays Park
The Crown Buildings (Welsh: Adeilad y Goron) aka Cathays Park Buildings, are the Welsh Government's main offices in Cardiff, Wales. The buildings were formerly used by the Welsh Office and are situated in Cathays Park. The complex consists of two buildings, Cathays Park 1 (Grade 2 listed building) and Cathays Park 2, joined by two skybridges. Cathays Park 1 (aka CP1 or old Crown Building) is an older four-storey building with 3,599 m of floorspace.
Welsh National War Memorial
The Welsh National War Memorial is situated in Alexandra Gardens, Cathays Park, Cardiff. The memorial was designed by Sir Ninian Comper and unveiled in June 1928 by the Prince of Wales. The memorial commemorates the servicemen who died during the First World War and has a plaque for those who died during the Second World War, added in 1949. Welsh National War Memorial
Redwood Building
The Redwood Building is a building part of Cardiff University, situated in the Cathays Park area of Cardiff, Wales. Opened in 1960, it was named after Theophilus Redwood, a founding father of the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain. Above the entrance a large relief sculpture shows an elderly toga-clad person, surrounded by books and a globe, reaching out protectively over a youthful scientist and a nurse.
Cathays Cemetery
The Cathays Cemetery is one of the largest cemeteries in the United Kingdom, located just north of the Cathays suburb of Cardiff, Wales. The cemetery gateway, forecourt walls and mortuary chapels are Grade II listed structures. Since 2008 the Cathays Cemetery chapels restoration has been underway. One of the most imposing memorials is that of Frank Baselow, though to represent his wife and child.
Ysgol Mynydd Bychan
Ysgol Mynydd Bychan (English: Heath School) is a Welsh-language primary school located in Heath, Cardiff, Wales. It was officially opened in 1993. In 2004, the school had 280 pupils.

The Wales Genocide Memorial is a monument in the garden of the Temple of Peace in Cardiff, Wales, dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide that took place in Ottoman Empire carried out by the Turkish government against the Armenian population from 1915 to 1922.
Centre for Occupational and Health Psychology
The Centre for Occupational and Health Psychology (COHP, Welsh: Canolfan Seicoleg Alwedigaethol ac Iechyd) is a Cardiff University research centre founded in 1999 to conduct research into the effects of occupational factors on health and performance efficiency. In addition, the risk factors relating to ill-health are investigated and the effects of health-related behaviour and health status on cognitive performance, mood and physiological functioning examined.
Bute Building
Bute Building is occupied by Cardiff University and is a Grade II listed building in Cathays Park, Cardiff, Wales. It currently houses the Welsh School of Architecture and the Cardiff School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies. The neoclassical building was designed by architects Percy Thomas and Ivor Jones, who won a competition in 1911 to design a building for Cardiff Technical College. The foundations of the building were laid in 1913 and the building opened in 1916.
WISERD
The Wales Institute of Social and Economic Research, Data and Methods (WISERD) is an interdisciplinary social science research centre, with its administrative base at Cardiff University, Wales. Its aim is to draw together and build upon the existing expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods and methodologies .
Cardiff University School of Music
Cardiff University School of Music is home to about 240 undergraduate and 40 postgraduate students. It was one of the first departments established when Cardiff University was granted its Royal Charter in 1883. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, 70% of the School’s research was judged to be either “internationally excellent” or “world-leading”. The department holds close links with organisations such as BBC National Orchestra of Wales and Welsh National Opera.
Cathays railway works
Cathays railways works was a railway engineering development by the Taff Vale Railway to provide its main carriage and wagon works, as well as its main railway depot for the entire TVR system, located in the Cathays suburb of Cardiff, South Wales. Taken over by the Great Western Railway, after nationalisation under British Railways they sold off the carriage and wagon works to the Pullman Company Ltd.
