Queen Elizabeth Bridge

The Queen Elizabeth Bridge is a road bridge just to the west of the town of Windsor, Berkshire, England. The Elizabeth bridge carries the A332 Windsor By-pass across the River Thames, on the reach between Romney Lock and Boveney Lock. The bridge was completed in 1966, and has formed the principal road route between the adjacent towns of Windsor and Eton since 1970, when structural cracks in the central Windsor Bridge forced that bridge's closure to all but pedestrian traffic,

Cippenham Moat

Cippenham Moat refers to the remains of a 13th Century Royal Palace created by King Henry III, located in the Cippenham suburb of Slough, in Berkshire. The area where the Palace once stood is still referred to and marked on maps as Cippenham Moat. Richard, 1st Earl of Cornwall - brother to Henry III - had his honeymoon here, and later created a deer park. By 1575, however, Saxton's map shows the parks at Windsor and Langley, but not Cippenham.

Boveney Lock

Boveney Lock is a lock on the River Thames situated on the Buckinghamshire bank opposite the Windsor Racecourse and close to Eton Wick. Boveney is a village a little way upstream on the same side. The lock was first built in 1838 by the Thames Navigation Commission. The lock was rebuilt in 1898 closer to the Buckinghamshire bank, and a set of boat rollers were installed on the old site. The weir is almost parallel to the lock, running across from the other side of the lock island.
