Haslemere railway station

Haslemere railway station is a busy stop on the Portsmouth Direct Line, serving the town of Haslemere, Surrey, England. The large car park (to the south) and industrial estate (to the north) were originally large goods sidings. Platform 3 is an addition to the original structure, built in 1938 when the line was electrified. Until then Haslemere was just a standard wayside station, but it became steadily busier as commuter traffic from the surrounding countryside grew.

Hindhead Tunnel

The Hindhead Tunnel, opened in 2011, is part of the 6.5 km dual-carriageway Hindhead bypass that replaced the last remaining stretch of single-carriageway on the 68-mile A3, the London to Portsmouth road. The bypass was constructed to improve road safety, reduce congestion and improve air quality. At 1,830 metres in length, the tunnel is the longest non-estuarial road tunnel in the United Kingdom, and takes the road beneath the Devil's Punch Bowl, a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

The A333 is a road in Surrey, south-east England. It runs between the Hazel Grove interchange and the Hindhead crossroads . It was formerly a small section of the A3 and was re-numbered in 2011 as part of the Hindhead Tunnel project. This number was previously allocated to a route in Hampshire, running from Winchester to Cosham via Wickham, which was downgraded in stages between 1983 and 1994 and renamed B2177 and B3335 once the M3 and M27 motorways were finished.
