Colossus (Thorpe Park)
Colossus is a roller coaster at Thorpe Park in Surrey, England, UK, and the park's first major attraction. It was built by Swiss manufacturers Intamin and designed by Werner Stengel as an adaptation of Monte Makaya in Brazil. Tussauds designer John Wardley adapted the project to include an extra two inversions as well as reducing its height.

Chertsey railway station
Chertsey railway station serves the town of Chertsey in the Runnymede District of Surrey, England. It is located on the Chertsey Branch of the Waterloo to Reading Line and is operated by South West Trains. The station was opened, with the branch line, in 1848. It comprises Up and Down platforms having brick buildings: the main building being on the Down side. There is a level crossing here. The Station Hotel was constructed beside it in 1869.

Chertsey Abbey
Chertsey Abbey, dedicated to St Peter, was a Benedictine monastery located at Chertsey in the English county of Surrey. It was founded by Saint Erkenwald, later Bishop of London, in 666 AD and he became the first abbot. Most of north-west Surrey was granted to the abbey by King Frithuwald of Surrey. In the 9th century it was sacked by the Danes and refounded from Abingdon Abbey by King Edgar of England in 964.
Loggers Leap
Loggers Leap (also referred to as Logger's Leap) is a log flume ride in Thorpe Park, UK. It was the tallest log flume ride in the UK when it opened, and although the park does not advertise the fact, it regained that record in 2005 with the removal of "Nightmare Niagara" from the now-defunct American Adventure theme park near Derby.
Vortex (Thorpe Park)
Vortex is a KMG Afterburner at Thorpe Park, an amusement park in Chertsey, Surrey, England. It was installed in the Lost City area of the park in 2001. It opened on 25 May, seven weeks after the opening of the 2001 season. Riders sit in seats arranged in a circle facing inwards, there are eight gondolas with four seats on each. After the over-the-shoulder restraints have been lowered and checked, the platform lowers.

It is ranked in the 'Thrilling and Fun' section and is therefore considered suitable for younger thrill seekers and has a lower height restriction than more intense rides. As a part of the Lost City, the ride's appearance is mystical and vaguely in-keeping with the Mayan theme of nearby rollercoaster, Colossus.
