Nico Ditch
Nico Ditch (occasionally Mickle Ditch or Nikker) is a six mile (9.7 km) long linear earthwork running between Ashton-under-Lyne and Stretford in Greater Manchester, England. It may have been dug as a defensive fortification, or possibly a boundary marker. It was constructed some time between the 5th and 11th centuries AD. The ditch is still visible in short sections, such as a 300-metre stretch in Denton golf course.
Crossbank
Crossbank is an area of Lees, a village in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester, England. Historically a part of Lancashire, the name Crossbank is thought to derive from the days of the Knights Templar when a cross was etched into an earthen bank to denote lands granted to them. Prior to 1894, Crossbank had formed a hamlet linked with the parish of Ashton-under-Lyne, and lying within the Oldham parliamentary borough.

Highfield Country Park
Highfield Country Park is a 70-acre area of open land, situated on the east side of Levenshulme, Manchester, that stretches to the east of Broom Avenue across to the rear of Reddish Golf Course and to the junction of Longford Road, Reddish and Nelstrop Road, Levenshulme. Prior to 2004, the park was jointly maintained by Manchester City Council and a group of volunteers called The Friends of Highfield Park.
Debdale Park
Debdale Park is an inner city park, located in the Gorton area of Manchester, England. At around 45 acres, it is one of the largest inner city parks in the City of Manchester. Located in the grounds of Debdale Park there is a large secondary school, Wright Robinson College, and also a bowling green, sports centre and an 18 hole golf course and club. It is also the home to Debdale Outdoor Center which specialises in watersports.
Broadstone Mill, Reddish
Broadstone Mill was a double cotton spinning mill on the northern bank of the Stockport Branch Canal in Reddish, Stockport, Greater Manchester, in England. The mills were started in 1903 and completed in 1907. They closed in 1957, and the southern mill was demolished and engine houses were demolished in 1965. The northern block went into multiple usage. It is now part of the Houldsworth Village development. It is used as a centre for small businesses, and a shopping outlet.
Gorton Reservoirs
Gorton Reservoirs are two reservoirs on the boundary of Tameside and Manchester in the North West of England. They are Gorton Upper Reservoir and Gorton Lower Reservoir. The upper and lower sections are separated by a road supported by a stone bridge consisting of a series of arches. They are owned and maintained by United Utilities. The reservoirs were completed between 1825 and 1826.
Gorton Heritage Trail
Gorton Heritage Trail is located approximately 3 miles from the centre of Manchester and is situated on the banks of Gore Brook. It runs for approximately three quarters of a mile through the Gore Brook Valley Conservation Area, from Sunny Brow Park to Gorton Lower Reservoir. The trail links up several areas that are rich in plants, trees, wildlife and history.
Peacock Mausoleum
The Peacock Mausoleum is a Victorian Gothic memorial to Richard Peacock (1820–1889), engineer and Liberal MP for Manchester, and to his son, Joseph Peacock. It is situated in the cemetery of Brookfield Unitarian Church, Gorton, Manchester. The mausoleum was designed by the prolific Manchester architect Thomas Worthington. It was made a Grade II* listed structure on 3 October 1974. Pevsner's The Buildings of England describes the memorial as "a large three-bay shrine of white stone.
Brookfield Unitarian Church
Brookfield Unitarian Church, Gorton, Manchester, is a Victorian Gothic church built between 1869–71. It was commissioned by Richard Peacock (1820–1889), engineer and Liberal MP for Manchester and designed by the prolific Manchester architect Thomas Worthington. The church cost Peacock £12,000. It was designated a Grade II* listed building on 3 October 1974. The churchyard lodges and the Sunday School are also listed buildings.
