River Itchen, Hampshire
The River Itchen (previously also known as the River Arle) is a river in Hampshire, England. It flows from mid-Hampshire to join with Southampton Water below the Itchen Bridge in the city of Southampton. The river has a total length of 28 miles, and is noted as one of the world's premier chalk streams for fly fishing, especially using dry fly or nymphing techniques.

Ocean Village (marina)
Ocean Village is a large, to-date incomplete mixed-use marina, residential, business and leisure development on the mouth of the River Itchen in Southampton, on the south coast of England. Chessel Bay

Itchen Bridge
The Itchen Bridge is a bridge over the River Itchen in Southampton, Hampshire. It is a high-level hollow box girder bridge. It is located about a mile from the river mouth. The bridge spans 870 yards, is 92 feet at its highest point and weighs 62,000 tons. It was officially opened on 13 July 1977. At the Woolston end a toll booth operates daily. Southampton City Council levy a variable toll, depending on vehicle type.

Woolston railway station is a grade II listed railway station serving the suburb of Woolston in the city of Southampton, England. The station is operated by South West Trains. Just past Woolston station the line rounds the River Itchen giving a view into the city of Southampton, including Southampton FC's ground. In June 2010 the railway bridge was replaced.

Itchen Urban District
Itchen was an urban district in Hampshire, England from 1898 to 1920. It was formed in 1898 from the parishes of St Mary Extra and Sholing (itself created in 1894 from part of the Hound parish). From 1894 to 1898 both these parishes had formed part of the South Stoneham Rural District. A unified parish of Itchen, coterminous with the urban district was created in 1903. The urban district was abolished in 1920 and added to the county borough of Southampton.

Woolston School
Woolston School Language College was a secondary comprehensive school in Southampton, Hampshire, in southern England. The last Ofsted inspection was on 10 October 2006. The school was a Specialist Language College for student that were 11 to 16 years old. There were around 770 pupils enrolled in the school at the time of closure. As part of Southampton City Council's review of secondary schooling program called Learning Futures, the school closed in July 2008.

Woolston Floating Bridge
The Woolston Floating Bridge was a cable ferry that crossed the River Itchen in England between Woolston and Southampton from 23 November 1836 until 11 June 1977. It was taken out of service when the new Itchen Bridge was opened. Initially there was only one ferry built and owned by the Floating Bridge Company but this increased to two in 1881 and in 1934 the floating bridges were sold to Southampton Corporation.
Itchen Ferry village
Itchen Ferry village was a small hamlet on the East bank of the River Itchen in Hampshire. The village took its name from the small fishing boats that were also used to ferry foot passengers across the river.
Peartree Green
Peartree Green is an open space on high ground on the East bank of the River Itchen in Hampshire which adjoins the districts of Woolston, Bitterne, Sholing and Merryoak within the city of Southampton. It takes its name from the Pear Tree that once stood on the large green open space in this area. Some of that open space has since been urbanised, but a large proportion remains as a recreational area.
Mayfield Park, Southampton
Mayfield Park is a recreational area straddling Woolston and Weston in Southampton, England. The stream that runs through the park is the boundary between the two districts of modern Southampton. The park is owned and maintained by Southampton City Council. It was previously part of the Chamberlayne family's Weston Grove estate. Much of the rest of the Weston Grove estate has been used to develop the post-war suburb of Weston.
HMS Abatos
HMS Abatos was a Royal Navy Shore establishment responsible for the planning of PLUTO, the undersea pipeline that supplied the allied troops with fuel during the liberation of Europe in 1944, after D-Day. There was another PLUTO training establishment at Tilbury, under the name HMS Abastor. The Admiralty requisitioned the remains of the Supermarine factory in Woolston, Southampton in 1943. The base was commissioned on 21 September 1943 as a tender to HMS Shrapnel.
