Wansbeck

Wansbeck was a local government district in south-east Northumberland, England. Its main population centres were Ashington, Bedlington and Newbiggin-by-the-Sea. The area which was bounded by the district is mostly urban, on the North Sea coast north of the Tyneside conurbation. It bordered Blyth Valley district to the south, the border being the River Blyth.

Northumberlandia

Northumberlandia (the "Lady of the North") is a huge land sculpture in the shape of a reclining female figure, which was completed in 2012, near Cramlington, Northumberland, northern England. Made of 1.5 million tonnes of earth, it is 34 metres high and 400 metres long, set in a 19 hectares public park. Its creators claim that it is the largest land sculpture in female form in the world.
