Northamptonshire
Northamptonshire is a landlocked ceremonial county in the East Midlands region of England. Its population is 692,000 as at the 2011 census. It has boundaries with eight other ceremonial counties: Warwickshire to the west, Leicestershire and Rutland to the north, Cambridgeshire to the east, Bedfordshire to the south-east, Buckinghamshire to the south, Oxfordshire to the south-west and Lincolnshire to the north-east – England's shortest county boundary at 19 metres .
A43 road
The A43 is a primary route in the English Midlands, that runs from the M40 motorway near Ardley in Oxfordshire to Stamford in Lincolnshire. Through Northamptonshire it bypasses the towns of Northampton, Kettering and Corby which are the three principal destinations on the A43 route. The A43 also links to the M1 motorway. The section of the road between the M40 and M1 is designated a trunk road, managed and maintained by the Highways Agency.
Pitsford Water
Pitsford Water is a reservoir in Northamptonshire, England. The reservoir was built in 1956 to supply the town of Northampton, which is about 6 miles to the south. The water is the third-largest in the United Kingdom, with a surface area of 2.85 square miles. Operated by Anglian Water, the reservoir is near the village of Pitsford, from which it is named. It is also close to Brixworth village and Brixworth Country Park.
Round Spinney
Round Spinney is a locality in the north-east of the English town of Northampton. Round Spinney is located east of the main A43 road. It gives its name to an Industrial Estate and the nearby roundabout. The industrial estate, known locally as "Colonel Mustard" due to the yellow colour of many of its buildings, is home to a number of companies including Chem-Dry and Gillian's Blinds. Round Spinney is also home to a branch of Travelodge and a Toby Carvery.
