Gateshead Millennium Bridge
The Gateshead Millennium Bridge is a pedestrian and cyclist tilt bridge spanning the River Tyne in England between Gateshead's Quays arts quarter on the south bank, and the Quayside of Newcastle upon Tyne on the north bank. The award-winning structure was conceived and designed by architects Wilkinson Eyre and structural engineers Gifford. The bridge is sometimes referred to as the 'Blinking Eye Bridge' or the 'Winking Eye Bridge' due to its shape and its tilting method.

Gateshead International Stadium
Gateshead International Stadium is a multi-purpose, all-seater arena in Felling, Tyne and Wear, England. Originally known as the Gateshead Youth Stadium, the venue was built in 1955 at a cost of £30,000. It has since been extensively re-developed on three occasions. Its capacity of around 11,800 is the greatest in the Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead, the third-largest in Tyne and Wear and the sixth-largest in North East England. The main arena is principally used for athletics.
Jesmond Parish Church
Jesmond Parish Church is a parish church in the Church of England situated in Brandling Village in the Jesmond suburb of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The church's official name is the Clayton Memorial Church, and is unusual among Anglican parish churches in not being named after either a saint who appears in the Church's calendar or a person of the Trinity. This reflects the Church's conservative Evangelical roots.
Seven Stories
Seven Stories the national centre for children's Books in the United Kingdom is based in the Ouseburn Valley, Newcastle upon Tyne, close to the city's newly regenerated quayside. The centre takes its name from the theory that there are only seven basic plots in literature, and the fact that the renovated Victorian mill in which it is housed has seven levels. Seven Stories is the first museum in the UK wholly dedicated to the art of British children’s books.
Byker Metro station
Byker Metro station is located in Byker, an area in the east-end of Newcastle upon Tyne. The station is on the Yellow line of the Tyne and Wear Metro system, and opened in 1982. During the period 2008-9 the station was used by around 430,000 passengers. Heading west from Byker station, the route crosses the dramatic 800m long Byker Viaduct constructed by Arup specifically for the Metro.
Chillingham Road Metro station
Chillingham Road Metro station is located in the south of the Heaton area of Newcastle upon Tyne, and is served by the Tyne and Wear Metro service. It was originally to be called Parsons, reflecting its proximity to the Parsons engineering works. It is located adjacent to the tracks of Heaton TMD and the East Coast Main Line at the end of a long path from Chillingham Road, and is unusual in that electronic displays showing the arrival times of the next trains were only installed in 2009.
Central Newcastle High School
Central Newcastle High School (locally known as "Central High") is an independent day school for girls in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The Junior School is split across two sites in Gosforth and Sandyford Park and the Senior School is located in the neighbouring suburb of Jesmond. On 29 January 2013 it was announced that Central High will merge with the nearby Church High to form Newcastle High School for Girls in 2014.
A1058 road
The A1058 or the Coast Road is a major road in North Tyneside. It runs from Jesmond in Newcastle upon Tyne to Tynemouth which is located on the coast 8 miles to the east from Newcastle City Centre. From Heaton to Billy Mill the road is built to grade-separated dual carriageway standard. Tyne Metropolitan College is also located halfway along the road, which allows for easy transit to and from home. East of Billy Mill, it is known as Beach Road.
Heaton TMD
Heaton TMD is a railway Traction Maintenance Depot situated in the Heaton area of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It is located next to the East Coast Main Line, around 2 miles east of Newcastle railway station. The depot is operated by Northern Rail, and mostly houses stock operated by them and Grand Central. The depot code is HT. The nearest Metro stations to Heaton Depot are Walkergate and Chillingham Road, whilst the nearest National Rail station is Manors.
Gateshead College
Gateshead College is a further education college in the town of Gateshead, England. Established on November 15, 1955 at Durham Road in Low Fell, Gateshead, the original campus was closed as part of a planned move in January 2008. The college moved into a £39 million new main site located at the Baltic Quayside in Gateshead. Also opened during the move was an Academy for Sport based at Gateshead International Stadium and a Skills Academy for Automotive, Engineering, Manufacturing and Logistics.
Jesmond Metro station
Jesmond Metro station serves Jesmond in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The station opened in August 1980 and was purpose built as part of Tyne and Wear Metro. The station lies off the former North Tyneside Loop just north of the original Jesmond railway station. The station was used by over 1 million passengers in the period 2008-9.
Manors Metro station
This article refers to the Tyne and Wear Metro station, for the National Rail station of the same name, please see Manors railway station. Manors Metro station is to the east of Newcastle city centre on the Yellow line of the Tyne and Wear Metro, and opened in 1982. Due to its location on the edge of the city centre the station is relatively lightly used with a recorded patronage of 227,000 passengers in the period 2008-9.
Milecastle 3
Milecastle 3 (Ouseburn) was a milecastle of the Roman Hadrian's Wall. No remains exist, but it was thought to have been located at the junction of the A187 Byker Bridge and Stephen Street.

Milecastle 2
Milecastle 2 (Walker) was a milecastle of the Roman Hadrian's Wall. No remains are currently visible, having been built over, but its probable location is at or near the junction of the A187 Fossway and Tunstall Avenue.
Newcastle Stadium
Newcastle Stadium is a greyhound stadium located on The Fossway, Byker, Newcastle. Racing at the stadium takes place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The circumference of the track is 415 metres. The stadium used to be known as Brough Park until it changed its name to Newcastle Stadium.

Based in a former flax spinning mill, The Cluny occupies part of the wider building at 36 Lime Street, sharing the space with artists, offices and recording studios. The Cluny is a regular fixture in the top 100 list of World’s Best Bars, and is currently the only pub in Newcastle upon Tyne to make the list.
People's Theatre, Newcastle upon Tyne
The People's Theatre is a theatre in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Originally located in the city centre, The People's Theatre moved to its current site, adjacent to the Coast Road in Heaton, in 1962. It mounts some thirteen productions a year including a full scale family pantomime. The People's Theatre originated from the Newcastle branch of the former British Socialist Party, who started to stage dramatic productions in 1911 in order to raise money to fund their political activities.

Byker railway station
Byker railway station was a railway station in Tyne and Wear. It was open to workers who worked near or on Shields Road which the station was tucked behind, before being timetabled in 1901. The station was tucked between Shields Road and the junction on to the main line. Unlike other station on the line it was opened in 1884. In the workers timetable it was referred to as Byker Platform station.
Jesmond Old Cemetery
Jesmond Old Cemetery, is a Victorian cemetery in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom founded in 1834. It contains two Grade II listed buildings and seven Grade II listed monuments as well as the graves of dozens of notable people from the history of Tyneside. There are ten Commonwealth service personnel buried in this cemetery, eight from World War I and two from World War II.
The Biscuit Factory
The Biscuit Factory is a Contemporary art gallery in Newcastle upon Tyne. The Gallery opened in 2001 after undergoing major renovation work. Prior to 2001 the Building was used in the manufacturing of biscuits (hence the name The biscuit factory), changing its name over the years from The Tyne Biscuit Factory to the name Newcastle upon Tyne Biscuit Manufacturers. The building has also been used for many other uses such as a warehouse in 1946 to a carpet and furniture retailer in 1977.
